Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” could be the next great unification bop. Oh my. Good sir!
Ever since I first met Shaboozey just a few months ago, I’ve been trying to grasp how the hell he became the artist he’s. He is from Woodbridge, Virginia, which is an element of the Washington suburbs in Northern Virginia. He is an American of Nigerian descent. He can be 20 years old. His entire profile reads as a hip-hop artist, leaning trap. And he did it. The first song I heard about him that permit me know who he was was “Beverly Hills,” which is largely a trap jam in the same vein as Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.”
But the more I began being attentive and listening to his music (this was all before his appearance on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter”), the more I saw this heavy lean towards, I suppose, country/Americana/folk music. His singing voice is crazy. But I wasn’t quite sure what to make of him. And then I heard “Let it burn” and I said, “Oh, my friend handled it!” It’s like Future played country, backwood jams with banjo and fiddle and wore Carhartts and large buckles in a non-ironic way. Again, Shaboozey’s voice is crazy and his lyrics are amazing. As for the package, he’s prepared to leap on the country music bandwagon, take up space and take quite a lot of individuals with him. The production value of his music and music videos is top notch.
And then “Cowboy Carter” dropped and ended up in each “SPAGHETTI” AND “SWEET*HONEY*BUCKIIN'” and I felt in my shando that it was about to go to the races. You don’t hear his voice (like all the other artists on “Cowboy Carter”) and you do not need to listen to any more.
Now we’ve probably one in all the best multicultural and unifying songs I actually have ever heard, including “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Oh my. Good sir.
Have you ever heard a song and immediately knew it was a success? That’s exactly how I felt as soon as “The Bar Song (Tipsy)” hit. The hit is great, but what makes this song special is that it not only jams hard, but additionally takes the lyrics to J-Kwon’s 2004 mega-hit “Tipsy” to the band, he created a song that you just might run into (in fact) at a bar in a club – I bet J-Kwon is waiting for a call NOW. The song can be sung for thus long that I can hear it elsewhere. Even those that don’t love banjos and fiddles will find this song infectious. Well, the song begins with a story about his woman wanting a Birkin, a cross-cultural, class-based concern for all of us, and our significant others who want the finer things in life. We all work hard for money, but we never have enough of it.
Featured Stories
Like a lot of us who visit clubs and bars to flee reality, “The Bar Song (Tipsy)” is made for Friday night fun. I mean, who doesn’t have a history with Jack Daniels, you already know? Shaboozey’s penchant for creating relatable content is amazing. I feel like I want to go to a bar JUST this weekend and see what happens when the song comes on since it’s playing in all the places where white people gather. Black venues may be slower in reception, but all it takes is one DJ to play it, after which just a few people in the crowd who know the whole room is playing in two steps and shouting “one, then they go two to three and four!”
Apparently I’m not the just one who feels this manner. In historic style, Shaboozey’s “The Bar Song (Tipsy)” is currently the No. 1 song on Billboard’s country chart, marking the first time a Black artist has overtaken one other Black artist for the No. 1 song on the chart. The song he overtook was none apart from Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold’ Em.”
The yee-haw program is in full swing and running at full speed and I’m completely happy to be here. Pour me a glass of Jack Daniels.
Oh my. Good sir.

Fans join in defense of Serena Williams after critics compare her skin tone in photos from her early tennis days
Serena Williams is undoubtedly one of the best players in tennis history, boasting a formidable record of over 23 Grand Slam singles titles. Along with her sister Venus, she also won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles and secured 3 doubles gold medals on the Olympic Games.
However, as an alternative of specializing in her amazing achievements on the tennis court, some are specializing in speculating about changes in her appearance. Many people have suggested that the Compton resident can have undergone facial cosmetic surgery and/or lightened her skin tone over time.
Last month, the mother of two was thrust into the highlight after a brand new glam video shared by her makeup artist Renny Vasquez went viral. In the clip, filmed during Paris Fashion Week, Williams gave the impression to be several shades lighter than her typical complexion, prompting fans to argue over whether her skin was permanently lightened or it was just makeup. Some even suggested that the sunshine can have lightened her skin.
Fast forward to April, and lots of fans on social media are comparing Williams’ appearance, with some criticizing her for what they perceive as drastic changes to her face. Meanwhile, others imagine there could also be an inexpensive explanation for why it looks so different.
Fan he tweeted two photos, many years apart, showing stark differences between Williams’ photos then and now. He wrote: “I’m very angry at Serena at this point…why baby why?”

One X user sent Williams’ old videos of her life in the general public eye, stating, “I loved that dark skin.”
Beautiful.

However, some people were quick to suggest a distinct lens to see her visibly fairer complexion.
“It doesn’t look like whitewashing to me. Sometimes people with darker skin tones lighten slightly due to environmental factors. If he has less sun exposure (and he probably does), he can lighten the shade or. The same thing happened to me” – one person he said.

Another X user he wrote“She also had a child. Having children can change your characteristics. After the birth of her twins, it changed Beyonce for a hot minute. This also includes makeup and possible lip fillers. She has also aged gracefully. We love using this photo when there is plenty of evidence that she is still beautiful.”
A 3rd added: “Why don’t you go to her page and check out her latest photos. It was makeup and lighting.
The sports icon welcomed her second daughter, Adira, with husband Alexis Ohanian in August. They are also the parents of a 6-year-old daughter, Olimpia. However, there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that mothers lighten their skin after giving birth. Williams also never admitted to having undergone plastic surgery or using skin bleaching products to lighten her skin.
Despite this, she has always been proud of her skin tone, even though she admitted that she was treated differently because of her skin color.
“Underpaid, undervalued,” Williams said in a 2020 report edition British Vogue. “I’ve never been a person who said, ‘I want to be a different color,’ or ‘I want my skin tone to be lighter.’ I like who I am, I like how I look, and I love representing beautiful, dark women. For me it’s perfect. I wouldn’t want it to be any different.”

King Harris is well on his way to changing his image and personality with a new look, months after a physical altercation with his parents
TI and Tiny’s son, King Harris, has matured in front of the world after his appearance on “TI & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”
However, being a child star transitioning into maturity within the entertainment industry can come with challenges, comparable to constant scrutiny of your appearance.
This is very true for the recording artist “Stand on Business.” People criticize King for his strong features and fair complexion, but often his style and online antics stand out greater than what people say about his appearance.
Recently, someone made a remark about his seemingly unrecognizable appearance, which prompted his fans to come to his defense, stating that he looks mature and is not sick because the person suggested.
Earlier this week, on Monday, April 29, King attended artist Quavo’s seventh annual Huncho Day at Berkmar High School within the suburb of Atkanta. The charity event raised tens of hundreds of dollars for the Migos rapper’s The Rocket Foundation, which supports gun violence prevention.
King did his part by playing within the All-Star Football game. Dressed in a black Huncho Legends uniform, white tights, a platinum Gucci chain and red and white Nikes, the previous reality star may very well be seen sporting a new look after recently chopping off her locks – faded on the perimeters and curled on the back.
When the 19-year-old, whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris III, shared a clip on Instagram of himself being interviewed by Atlanta radio host and personality Miasi Simone, the post sparked a surge in his 856,000 followers praising his participation and praising him for starting his party enterprise, the Wildfest Atlanta festival, which he discussed with Simone.
But as a substitute of his achievements, one person’s words moved his fans, who focused on his appearance.
“My boyfriend looks sick,” the person says he wrote.
Immediately, two people clapped. One wrote: “Nope, growth and maturity.” The second comment was deeper and wrote: “The only sick person is you because you are saying something negative and hurtful…your mind and heart are sick.”
Between this post and other, many individuals complimented King’s “calm and collected” appearance, noting how mature he seemed. Meanwhile, others commented on his new hairstyle.
“The king has matured. It looks great. He looks like his mom with his dad’s mannerisms,” one person commented.
“You look so much better with your hair cut,” added one other. A 3rd said: “Oh he looks just like the little king from the family hustle again.” And More said, “Brother, it looks like he is making some changes in his life for the better. Keep pushing.”
Before cutting his hair in January 2024. King had blonde and brown locks. Often wild and uncontrollable, some say it fits the personality he has surrounded himself with over the last few years.
In November 2023, King gained immense popularity after he got into a fight with his father in a private suite during the Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints football game.
At the heart of the argument was a discussion about how King grew up in the suburbs rather than in the hood like his father was raised. His parents say the boy has never experienced real combat. King argued that he spent time at his grandmother’s house, which is still located downtown in a tough neighborhood, lamenting the idea that he was born with a “silver spoon” in his mouth.
TI and his son King Harris got into an altercation at a Falcons game after King apparently pushed his mother Tiny 😳👀 pic.twitter.com/lgj2HWgXq1
— Hip Hop Ties (@HipHopTiesMedia) November 27, 2023
Following this incident, claims made headlines that King Harris was not T.I.’s biological son, but rather the alleged illegitimate child of Bimmy Antney, a former music director and lieutenant of the Supreme Team. Some people have pointed out the similarities between Bimmy’s fair skin, reddish hair and freckles in old photos and those of King, saying they are more similar than T.I. or any of his other children.
“ALL of TI’s sons appear like him except King, BUT if he considers him his son, then he is his son,” one person noted. In the blink of an eye, people started reading her comments and writing, “Probably because she looks more like her mom, but hey.”
Tiny quickly put the rumor to rest.
“Man, these are the biggest bulls – ever!!! No offense, but I don’t even know this Bimmy! I just remembered who he was,” the Xscape singer stated, adding, “Stop playing with us for clickbait b…h.”
This isn’t the first time Mother Bear has defended her son. After previously defending King’s actions during the 2022 Waffle House incident, Tiny took to social media to express how much she loves her other child and rides for him.
“Man this little dude @the_next_king10 has always been my favorite but also terrifying,” she wrote. “No, he isn’t from the hood, but unlike any of his siblings, he got into trouble, fighting all of the rattling time and slap boxing daily at college prefer it was a sport!”
Adding: “But every parent with multiple children knows it’s always 1!! I am truly blessed for mine!!”
King’s Wildfest is scheduled for August 25 and will be to Atlanta what Rolling Loud is to New York and Miami.
