Former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark was chosen in the highly anticipated 2024 WNBA draft. However, fans are shocked to learn that her rookie contract will see her earn just over $100 CEO of McDonald’s.

On April 15, Clark was drafted by the Indiana Fever. “I think the most important thing is that I have always just believed in myself. I went to Iowa with the intention of taking us to the Final Four. We did it twice. We went to two national championships and four Big Ten championships,” ESPN’s Holly Rowe said moments later.

“But I told my mom earlier, ‘I deserved it,’ and that’s why I’m so proud of it,” Clark added.

Six picks later, LSU star Angel Reese heard her name called. Reese will begin his skilled basketball profession with the Chicago Sky.

Clark and Reese helped take women’s college basketball to a level never seen before. The Elite Eight game between LSU and Iowa averaged out, according to Nielsen data 12.3 million viewers on ESPN.

While Clark and Reese financially benefited from name, image and likeness (NIL) contracts during their college careers, their WNBA salaries surprised some. For comparison, the value of Clark’s NIL transaction was estimated to be greater than $3 million to ON3. In the WNBA, Clark could earn about 10 percent of that quantity over 4 years.

According to the WNBA salary structure, Clark will earn $76,535 in 2024, $78,066 in 2025, $85,873 in 2026 and an option of $97,582 in 2027. Clark will likely earn a major amount through endorsements and other marketing channels, but this number stands in stark contrast to what the top picks in the NBA Draft are.

Basketball fans and other athletes commented on the shocking numbers.

Pittsburgh Steelers point guard Russell Wilson jumped into the conversation to support the WNBA players, saying, “These ladies deserve so much better. I pray for the day.”

Other fans suggested that Caitlin Clark reap the benefits of Ice Cube and take him up on his offer to join the Big3.

The hip-hop artist, actor, film producer and co-founder of Big3 recently raised eyebrows when he made a “historic offer” to Clark in an attempt to persuade her to join the popular 3-on-3 league.

TMZ initially reported that Big3’s offer was for as much as $5 million.

“We wanted to keep the offer private until Caitlin Clark was fighting for the championship. But I won’t deny what already exists.” Cube wrote on X. “BIG3 made a historic offer to Caitlin Clark. Why would not we? Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve great success in the BIG3.

Cube didn’t dispute that number when he appeared on ESPN’s “Pat McAfee Show” on March 27.

The $5 million figure can be significantly higher than any base salary Clark could earn in the WNBA. According to the data, the maximum salaries for the league’s 12 teams are an estimated $1,463,200 per team entering the season. data from Spotrac. There are currently no women playing in Ice Cube’s Big3 league, but as news about Clark’s and other WNBA players’ salaries continues to gain more attention, many are suggesting that Clark should seriously consider Cube’s offer.

“Dear Caitlyn Clark, don’t go #WNBA Take your talents abroad! Don’t give this league any influence. Let it continue to be the dumping ground it is! Understand #Big3 money and this foreign money and let the women of the WNBA continue to hate you,” he said X commentator.

“This Caitlyn Clark contract is sick. She could make more money playing in Ice Cube’s Big 3 league,” one other apprehensive a fan wrote on Twitter.

Other asked a fan“Caitlyn Clark Really Turned Down the Big Three’s Millions to Flip Hamburgers in the WNBA?”

On March 29, the 22-year-old responded to Ice Cube’s multi-million dollar offer to join his league.

“Honestly, I found out about Big3 at the exact same time as all of you and my main focus is playing basketball,” she said. “Honestly, I do not speak about these items with anyone. I actually have other individuals who take care of this, but they have not said a word to me about it.

Despite Clark’s initial refusal, Ice Cube tells ADWEEK that his offer stands still on the table.

Journalist, sports commentator and writer Jemele Hill also weighed in on the conversation and pointed out that WNBA players have been calling for higher salaries for years. She also noted that the WNBA season is way shorter than the NBA season and athletes are compensated in other ways, such as free housing and transportation.

“I’m already nervous about this conversation because WNBA players have been fighting for more money for years.” Hill wrote on X.

“And when this was said openly, a lot of you told them to shut up or reminded them that they’d no value. The NBA has over 50 years of investments, media presence, etc. After 27 years, the WNBA will not be the current NBA. So stop comparing them. Further context: This salary includes 4 months of basketball (40 games). Players also receive a free apartment + automobile. This doesn’t suggest the salaries are acceptable, but now you understand why so many female players play abroad to increase/complement their income.”

The WNBA plays a 40-game regular season, while NBA players compete in an 82-game season.

The WNBA and the players’ association negotiated a collective labor agreementt in 2020, which resulted in higher player salaries. The agreement also prolonged maternity advantages. Under the agreement, the players’ salaries were guaranteed during their maternity leave. Teams were also required to provide two-bedroom apartments for athletes with children under 13 years of age. The agreement also stipulated that after giving birth, moms would have “comfortable, safe and private” places to breastfeed and would have access to an annual $5,000 stipend to cover child care costs.

For almost the entire existence of the league, the WNBA has struggled to attract high levels of attention and viewership. Clark, Reese and others will essentially be tasked with taking the attention they’ve received from women’s college basketball to the skilled level.

A positive sign for the WNBA is the increase in ticket sales.

“We have seen great enthusiasm online and on social media,” Pacers Sports and Entertainment said in a press release to the company Press Association. “The organization also noted that enthusiasm led to an increase in ticket inquiries.”

Tiffany Haddish accidentally spills the tea Common has been courting for two years, which apparently interrupts his dating schedule with Angela Rye

Rapper and activist Common is understood for being a serial dater and unable to remain in relationships. He has dated skilled athletes, political analysts, Emmy-winning singers and actors, and a few would say he’s the happiest man in the world.

But not his ex Tiffany Haddish, who claims Common is the only star she had an affair with.

Tiffany Haddish takes the bait after a fan asked her when she was getting back together with ex Common amid rumors of her alleged breakup with Jennifer Hudson.

“The only star I have ever met. He pursued me for two years before I finally said, ‘OK, let’s do something.’ It was the best result in 2020,” she said he said People Magazine.

Haddish confirmed that she and Common were dating in August 2020, after filming wrapped on the 2019 film “The Kitchen.”

While she previously claimed they first met on set, she now claims the “Testify” artist pursued her for two years before they met. “We met at the beginning of 2018, 2017,” she said.

They decided to separate in August 2021, but Haddish found the split unexpected, claiming she missed all the red flags before Common broke up with her over the phone and he didn’t invite her to his party.

“Everyone was like, ‘Oh, Tiffany, you wanted to marry him so bad,’ and I said, if I wanted to marry this man, I wouldn’t have talked about him buying me an apartment building,” the “Girls Trip” actress said. “I believe that the act is more powerful than a marriage license and it is easier to get out of it. At least there is some return on this investment.”

Common and Haddish’s romance began shortly after his on-again, off-again relationship with Angela Rye. They began dating in 2017 and split for good in 2019, which coincides with the time Common began dating her friend.

Rye’s former partner previously stated that he had lost interest in the relationship, although the former CNN contributor believed they were heading in a unique direction.

“We talked for about two months about it, let’s see how things go because I was leaning towards ‘I want kids’ and he was leaning towards ‘I don’t know,'” Rye said on her “On One with Angela” Rye” with December 2020 “I think when someone tells you I don’t know, they’re just telling you because they don’t really want to hurt you.”

She continued: “She is more established in her profession. We have a small age difference. And he has a totally grown, wonderful daughter who’s studying law. So not wanting to start out over is an issue.

Common also dated neo-soul singer Erykah Badu for two years and claimed in 2002 that he had difficulty “eating” while reflecting on his “first love.”

“I discovered that I didn’t really believe in myself with all my heart, every bit of me that was in my body, and I discovered that through the breakup. I was in a relationship with Erykah Badu,” Common said in 2018. “When we broke up, one of the most important things I discovered was that I was afraid to carry my greatness… Which meant I could be in a relationship and dimmed by my light to others.”

Common also dated Serena Williams. He is currently romantically linked to fellow Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson. They have been dating for over a 12 months and he reportedly recently asked her to marry him, but she declined.

There was no information confirming the marriage proposal between them.

Fans of Travis Kelce suggest he drop Taylor Swfit and get back with his ex Kayla Nicole.

Some fans on social media are going crazy over NFL player Travis Kelce’s catchy romance with pop star Taylor Swift.

However, amid all this madness, many consider he has confused the ball with his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, especially after her stunning performance within the Los Angeles Lakers’ Saturday playoff game against the Denver Nuggets on April 27.

Kayla, who opted for honey-brown tresses and minimal makeup, posted photos in black strappy pants with sparkling diamond studs and accents.

The 33-year-old coyly captioned the nine breathtaking videos: “I’m just a kid.”

Her comments were inundated with fans who made it clear that they didn’t see the “baby” when looking at this bombshell and wondered why Kelce left it.

One of her 792,000 followers wrote: “Simply the hottest woman on planet Earth!”

“Kaylaaa is glowing!! This happiness seeps through the pores. this hair color is (fire emoji),” wrote one other fan.

“Can’t believe he left it 10… on 2,” one person wrote, while one other called Kelce and Kayla’s breakup “the biggest screw-up in NFL history.”

“Girlfriend! You turn your head so quickly. And yes, pun intended,” said a follower playing on his current girlfriend’s name.

Not everyone compared Swift to the social media influencer, and some commenters seemed bored with tearing down one to elevate the opposite.

“Haven’t we stopped comparing ourselves as women?” – wrote an Instagram user. “My God!!! We’re all out here trying to cope in our own way! All beautiful, powerful and strong women! Can’t we (especially) women feel the need to compare two incredibly beautiful women!?”

Some attention focused on Nicole’s show, believing she wore a skimpy outfit to attract the eye of her next competitor. “I feel like she’s dating an NBA player,” one person wrote.

“I hope you guys aren’t trying to prey on any white players, it’s mostly white players on Da Lakers,” someone joked.

One person quickly clarified the matter: “You all should do your research. She was a LAKER REPORTER. She has always been a Lakers fan. Smdh.”

Kayla Nicole graduated from Pepperdine with a degree in broadcast journalism, and one in every of her first jobs was at Global Grind, where she covered each the NBA and NFL games.

She and the three-time Super Bowl champion dated on and off from 2017 to 2022. The former couple, who dated for nine years after his NFL profession began and stayed together throughout his first Super Bowl victory, made no secret of the explanation for his or her split to their vests. One rumor was about infidelity, others suggested that the footballer was low-cost and made her pay half of all the things.

The Boss’s tight end denies he was stingy.

“I would never say I support her,” he said on “The Pivot.” podcast last yr. “She had a very stable financial life throughout her professional career. But you must be crazy if you think that I never… helped her or gave her a few dollars to buy some food or she gave me some money to eat.

He explained: “I mean, we were in a relationship for five years. They didn’t even think about $100 here and $100 there.”

It looked like Kelce didn’t break up with Kayla Nicole for Swift. It is thought that he and the “Anti-Hero” singer began dating in September 2023. There are not any reports that he forced her to pay halves for his or her dates.

Television fans often remember special guests or speakers from reality and talk shows. But one social media influencer he wondered loudly on the X platform, writing: “From time to time I wonder what happened to that lady in the blue dress who started twerking on the Steve Harvey Show back then.”

This video follows one other on TikTok that brought the twerker in a blue dress back into the popular culture zeitgeist last month. A straightforward 15-second clip of the show was shared on social media ICT Tokshowing a woman asking a query as the viewer.

She asked Steve what he thought of her imitating a 22-year-old kindergarten teacher who quit her job to make twerking videos on the Internet. “Are you crazy?” – he began, before going into detail and checking out that the woman in the blue dress was 33 years old. He then made the error of asking a rhetorical query: “Can you twerk?”

In the video, the young lady might be seen leaving her seat in the audience to go on stage and dance to Harvey. As she approaches him, the comedian looks at her with a shocked expression, watching her twirl and spin around him.

Fans had a field day working on the hilarious video.

“You all saw that lady twerking on the Steve Harvey show. I swear I can’t stop laughing” – comment To read.

One user X asked: “See how Steve is backing up?”

Another answered why he moved away from the dancer, tweeting“Cause girl she supported it, TF.”

One person said on TikTok: “Steve said Marjorie wasn’t going to get him.”

Then, like one other recent dance craze sparked by a video of R. Kelly’s ex-wife Andrea Kelly, people began recreating the exchange.

“There’s a trend on TikTok where people are dancing like that lady who twerked on the Steve Harvey show, and it cracks me up EVERYONE. SINGLE. TIME,” someone wrote on Twitter.

Other he wrote“I can’t take on this challenge and Andrea Kelly’s challenge.”

The original video was posted on the Steve TV show’s YouTube page in 2015 and states that it is an element of the now-defunct show’s “Ask Steve” segment.

In it, a beauty who claims to have a mobile notary office tells the host that she is considering a new profession.

“We all know that twerking is the new dance craze,” he says, asking a query. “The other day I saw a story about a girl, a 22-year-old kindergarten teacher, who quit her job to make twerking videos full time. So I’m considering quitting my job, closing my business, and focusing on speaking full time. How do you think I should promote my business full-time?”

Over the years, his fans have been tickled by her little banter for the “Family Feud” host. It was watched by over 15 million viewers and 10,514 comments on YouTube.

Many comments focused on her dancing, saying she didn’t do it.

“I know she didn’t get on national television to play a crazy chicken,” considered one of them said, while one other clowned. “She didn’t even twerk, she moved like a snake.”

Steve should have thought the identical thing because he told her, “Don’t quit your job because you’ll think you’ll make six figures doing it.”

The woman didn’t appear to update people or share her opinion about Pauline using her image and likeness in her promoting. However, it could possibly be assumed that he doesn’t twerk professionally.
