ICHRA plans offer employers new options for health care spending

Some employers have begun embracing a new way for employees to lower your expenses on health care costs. One of the primary employers to adopt the ICHRA concept for its employees was Lycoming College, a small, nationally ranked liberal arts school in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The goal is to assist lower health care costs not only for the institution but additionally for its employees.

Employers have the choice to offer this health reimbursement plan to different groups of employees, while group plans could also be available to other groups based on aspects similar to location, hourly or fixed rate, and full-time or part-time worker status.
