ONE MUSICFEST Is Celebrating 15 Years With A Lineup You Don’t Want To Miss


We’re just five weeks away from celebrating 15 years of ONE Musicfest, the Southeast’s largest music festival, in Atlanta, Georgia, October twenty sixth and twenty seventh.

ONE Musicfest guarantees a weekend of satisfying entertainment from the hitmakers of yesterday, today and tomorrow. The two-day program welcomes multiple headliners to multiple stages, speaking across multiple genres of hip-hop and R&B.

Day one will feature headliners Earth, Wind & Fire, Fantasia, Method Man & Redman, Nelly and Cardi B. The OMF Anthem, hosted by Atlanta DJ Greg Street, will feature local talent including Young Dro, Crime Mob, Travis Porter and Trillville.

Day two has its own momentum. Featuring Jill Scott, Victoria Monet, Keyshia Cole, Dru Hill and this 12 months’s hottest hip-hop stars: Gunna, Glorilla and Sexyy Red. Festival goers can expect DJ Drama with a number of special guests. DJ Mars Block Party will bring in TI, Keri Hilson, Lloyd and more to do their thing. Victoria Monet Reveals End of Her Relationship with John Gaines

Victoria Monet and John Gaines aren’t any longer together.

This week, the “On My Mama” singer revealed that she and Gaines ended their relationship 10 months ago. In a joint statement published on their social media pagesThe duo admitted that they’d been “avoiding a formal statement” about their split. However, in light of the continued “questions” and “extremely false accusations,” they decided to substantiate their relationship status.

“Initially, we preferred to keep it out of the public eye (because announcing it publicly would certainly bring back the pain), but it is becoming increasingly difficult to suppress,” Monét and Gaines say. he wrote“We thought long and hard about whether we owed anyone an explanation of where we were in our healing, because we understand how social media can exaggerate the truth or go so far in lies. Ultimately, we decided to be open and address it, hoping to put a period to the question marks for the sake of our healing process.”

While Monét and Gaines haven’t revealed what led to the tip of their relationship, they’ve stressed that there was “no betrayal, no toxic behavior, no drama.” After spending “the last 10 months trying to respectfully and privately come to terms with the fact that (they) are no longer in a relationship,” the duo say they still love and respect one another despite their split.

Monét and Gaines, who share 3-year-old daughter Hazel, also shared that their split was as a result of the couple needing “basic development,” which is best done individually, so as to be one of the best versions of themselves for his or her child. Earlier this 12 months, the family dazzled fans as they attended the Grammy Awards, where Monét and her daughter were nominated.

“It just didn’t work out, and that’s okay. We still think of each other as the world and act with love in every interaction for our family,” they continued. “We have an amazing daughter to raise for life, and that is undoubtedly our number one priority forever. No relationship status can erase or replace that fact.”

Appreciating the priority and interest of their supporters, Monét and Gaines asked for “peace and space to maintain a safe and happy environment in which they can co-parent” Hazel.

“We plan to remain a family regardless of our public title, so please be understanding and gentle when you see Hazel and I together. We appreciate all of you listening and hope that we will be remembered in your prayers for your good intentions. Thank you,” they concluded.

Uzo Aduba didn’t think she’d find love until she met her husband

Uzo Aduba is happily married to filmmaker Robert Sweeting as of 2020, although at one point she thought she would never find love.

Aduba, 43, said People Magazine she was ready to offer up after she began dating people in New York at age 30, which at times resembled “Sex and the City.”

“I was sure it just wasn’t going to happen because it was tough out there on the streets,” said the mother of 10-month-old daughter Adaiba. “I just accepted that this was my story, that I had waited too long or not given it enough attention because I was focused on my career or all these other me-me things.”

The award-winning actress then met Sweeting at a rooftop bar in Midtown Manhattan.

“He made me feel safe,” she continued. “I felt safe to be my whole self around him—not the best part of me, all of me, my weaknesses, my frailties, my weak, ugly parts. I felt safe enough to show him that. And when he saw that, he still loved me. I never, and still never, doubted that he loved me.”

The couple tied the knot in September 2020 in a small garden ceremony at Aduba’s sister’s home. They selected the intimate gathering for his or her wedding so her mother, who died later that yr, could watch them wed after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

“At first, I was really sad that the wedding was going to be the way it was going to be,” Aduba noted. “But the moment we started in my sister’s backyard, it was perfect. It was more than enough.”

Aduba and Sweeting welcomed their first child together, a daughter, in December 2023.

“My daughter. I have never fallen in love so fast and so deeply in my life,” she wrote within the caption to post on Instagram including two photos of the “In Treatment” star in a hospital gown, cradling her newborn. “I really don’t know what to say, guys. My heart is so full. Thank you, God.”

Coming out in faith with Sweeting wasn’t her only healing moment on her journey of love. Aduba also told People in regards to the time she texted all of her ex-flames, except one, to inform them that “they hurt me and I didn’t deserve it.”

“Every woman should do it,” she said, adding: “We’re letting them get away with murder. I allowed myself to be overlooked and to some extent mistreated. I deserve more respect and it’s okay to insist on it and point it out when it’s not being received.”
