Couple who went viral for living in a warehouse are still homeless and say they are ‘too smart’ to get a job

A Philadelphia man who claims he was kicked out of a warehouse after sharing a TikTok video of himself living in an apartment to save on rent has informed his social media followers that he’s currently living in a tent.

Leland Desmond Brown Jr. and his girlfriend Breanna were evicted from their warehouse after hundreds of thousands of individuals watched the couple’s video detailing their life at the power. The 28-year-old said they lived in the apartment to get monetary savings, with the final word goal of shopping for an RV and later a small house. In recent video with the caption “When you’re homeless and you can’t find a job,” Brown explained why the couple is “too smart for that.”

“Find a job and everything will be fine” he said Brown in a video recorded in the hotel room where the couple was temporarily staying. “Yeah, that is what my mom and dad would say. Work, work, work, work. We’ll make a movie about how we’re too smart for this. We’re too smart for that. Homeless and smart. We’re too smart for that.

Breanna nodded, sitting on her bed as Brown — who began a GoFundMe after the pair went viral and netted $3,915 in donations — continued to explain himself.

– Job, man, get the fuck out of here. You drive me crazy, you drive me crazy with this work. Brown further added that his family told him he was a punk and needed to get a job.

“Man, fuck it all,” he continued. “I won’t get any job. In the past I had a job and that was it. I was fired in about 90 percent of those jobs. It’s not for me. I’m a self-made entrepreneur and so is she.”

On January 31, Brown broke down in tears video said the couple was staying with family and apologized to people who donated to his GoFundMe who said they felt cheated. However, on February 7, the couple revealed that they lived in a tent and now not stayed with family because they “chose to remain homeless.”

“We would rather live outside so we can do whatever we want,” Brown said. After Brown complained about capitalism and said that minimalist living suited the couple because they had made enough on Breanna’s OnlyFans and TikTok to survive, Breanna added that customers were “consistently consuming things, consistently buying things they would never they use and never really wanted.”

“Don’t even get me started on Christmas and birthdays,” she added.

Brown also shared a video last week with subtitles“When you’re homeless in a tent.” The video showed the within the tent, which had a small shelf with battery-powered lights. Also contained in the tent were yoga mats, sleeping bags, plastic organizers full of food, water and folding chairs.

Just a few days later, Brown shared one other video on TikTok of the couple’s tent covered in snow. The video was captioned “When You’re Homeless & It Snow” and showed the duo shoveling snow from their apartment. Other video a few days later it showed Brown cleansing up after his tent was flooded by rain, while Brown rapped, “It’s below zero and I’m cold.”

Despite the bad weather, the couple continues to live outside in their tent.
