Curry Brand has officially announced that De’Aaron Fox’s new Sacramento Kings signature sneaker, the Curry Fox 1, will hit shelves in time for the holiday season. The first “Happy Fox Day” colorway releases on December 6.

In October 2023, Fox signed with Curry Brand, an Under Armor brand, to change into the company’s first signature athlete. Fox can be the first athlete, alongside the brand’s president and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, to receive the brand’s signature sneakers.

The Curry Fox 1 is a low-cut basketball shoe that’s heavily influenced by some of Under Armor’s trainers. Lightweight two-tone mesh and a midfoot strap set these sneakers other than other basketball shoes. The stripe is formed like a fox tail, echoing Fox’s last name and creating more storytelling opportunities with future colours.

Fox’s logo references his nickname “Swipa” – a reference to the kid’s show Fox Swiper – by forming the fox into the letter D, his No. 5 jersey and his last name. The shoe is provided with Under Armor’s patented Flow technology on the sole, which provides traction and stability.

The launch colorway combines blue and orange with hints of gold, representing Fox’s color scheme love for Christmas and his favorite holiday movie,

Two additional versions of Fox 1 will appear in December. The “Happy Fox Day Alternate” color scheme uses deep green, gold accents and wealthy textures. The premiere will happen on December 20, which is Fox’s birthday.

“The Beam” colorway can be available on December 27 as a tribute to the Kings and its fans. A combination of light and dark purple with accents of neon green, “The Beam” is inspired by the band’s famous chant and battle cry “Light the Beam” and the tradition of lighting a beam after a victory.

“Creating Fox 1 with the Curry Brand team has been an incredible experience and a true dream come true,” Fox said in a press release. “Together we created a sneaker that not only performs on the court at the highest level, but is truly authentic to me in terms of design and every detail.”

Curry echoed Fox’s sentiments about the creation of Fox 1. “De’Aaron made sure he was involved in every step of the process,” Curry said in a news release. “From sketches and wear tests to developing different colorways, the whole process is an enjoyable journey, especially if you’re working on creating your first signature shoe. At Fox 1, he took his own approach to it and made it his own, adding personal touches along with his background and history.

Priced at $120, the Curry Fox 1 can be available at UA.com and Under Armor Brand Houses stores worldwide, at select Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and at dickssportinggoods.com.

Fox is a seven-year NBA veteran and an NBA star for the Sacramento Kings. Last season, he averaged a career-high of 27 points, 5 rebounds and a pair of steals. Fox looks set to steer the Kings back to the postseason this yr after failing to make the play-in tournament in the 2023 season.

Jake Paul believes he can fight for the title, but Mike Tyson may be tired of being in the ring at the age of 58

Jake Paul believes he can fight for the championship belt inside two years.

Mike Tyson may retire from the ring after the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion’s first sanctioned skilled fight since 2005.

The prizefight-style event become a glorified sparring session – an eight-round fight won by Paul on Friday night at the NFL’s Dallas (*58*) stadium by unanimous decision.

Paul will still have questions on when he fights a fighter in his prime slightly than aging former champions, mixed martial arts fighters or boxing journeymen.

The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer’s responses have been consistent and he now has a timeline.

“I think it could happen in the next 24 months,” Paul said. “I really, really believe in my skills, abilities and power. And the cruiserweight division is clearly open to adopting that timeline.”

Tyson, whose last fight before retiring was a loss to Kevin McBride 19 years ago, said he was confident he would face Paul because of his interesting performance against Roy Jones Jr. without an audience during the 2020 pandemic.

A shorter fight (as an alternative of 10 or 12 rounds) with shorter rounds (two minutes as an alternative of three) and heavier gloves was definitely not fun.

The International Boxing Hall of Famer attacked Paul hard in the opening seconds and again briefly to begin the second round. Otherwise, he mostly let Paul come to his senses, and Paul said he thought Tyson was too tired to be a threat after the third round.

Still, Tyson didn’t say immediately afterwards that it will be his last fight, after the officially recorded defeat dropped his record to 50-7 with 44 knockouts.

“It depends on the situation,” Tyson said, before suggesting a fight against Paul’s older brother, Logan Paul, who was standing next to him in the ring.

“I’ll kill you, Mike,” Logan Paul shot back, using an expletive for emphasis.

However, Tyson said he was entering the ring “for the last time” in a social media post Saturday that detailed health issues he has been coping with that forced him to postpone his original fight date this summer.

“I almost died in June” – Tyson wrote on X. “I had 8 blood transfusions. I lost half my blood and 25 kilos in the hospital and needed to fight to improve to fight, so I won.

There is little question that the younger Paul will return to the ring. The former social media influencer began boxing about 4.5 years ago and has all the time said he desired to develop into a championship fighter.

“He’s a very good fighter,” Tyson, the undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987-90, said after Paul won 80-72 on one judge’s scorecard and 79-73 on one other.

However, Paul still has so much to prove. His record is 11-1 with seven knockouts, his only loss being to Tommy Fury, the less talented brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

The former Disney Channel star has proven that she can generate buzz around almost any fight.

10 legendary black boxers who shaped the sport of boxing

The first live sports event on Netflix was watched by 60 million households, the streaming company said on Saturday. Netflix said further viewing details will be available next week.

Paul’s payout was reported to be $40 million in comparison with $20 million for Tyson. Paul mentioned his number during a promotional event over the summer.

Organizers estimated the number of fans at AT&T Stadium at 72,000, and that number looked as if it would be correct.

“There may never be a moment like this in boxing, but I believe we can find something,” Paul said. “And I think there are some names that make sense and the events will be just as big.”

Just a few days before the fight with Tyson, Paul mentioned super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez, considered one of the best boxers in the world.

An opponent of this stature is probably going at least just a few fights ahead of Paul, and it may not be long before age becomes a difficulty for the 34-year-old Alvarez.

Paul’s camp won’t ever query their ability to placed on a show.

“Boxing is about ebbs and flows, ups and downs, big events, small and medium-sized events,” said Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s promoter. “Our philosophy will not be about what decision will be made in the ring. It’s about your approach, the product you create and the way you entertain your fans. And there isn’t any funnier athlete than Jake Paul.
