Stephen’s boss’s widow, Allison Holker, says selling the family home after his death was the “final step” in her family’s healing process, but fans are still skeptical her husband didn’t have a will

It’s been lower than two years since dancer and tv producer Stephen “tWitch” Boss died by suicide, so it’s no surprise that his wife, Allison Holker – who was married to him for nearly 10 years – is still talking about her grief

Holker talked to Vivian Tu from SoFi, during which she talked not only about the incontrovertible fact that her husband didn’t prepare a will, which caused her financial problems, but also about her journey with grief.

She explained that one among the steps she took as a part of her grieving process was to sell the Los Angeles home she shared with Boss and their three children.

“This house was our security for a really long time. We loved this house. It always seemed so safe to us. But that’s changed,” she explained, “and a lot of people don’t talk about it after they’ve grieved, as if I’m holding on to these past emotions, thinking that’s what’s saving me. But it started to swallow us up and uprooting my children was a very, very important decision. Their lives have already been changed so much that I thought, can I do this to them?”

Holker, who bought her recent home in January this yr, believes: “It was the best decision for us. Because when we moved, we bought a new house that became our sanctuary, it was like the last step towards our healing, where we could leave it in the past and finally be able to take a step forward for ourselves.”

The trained choreographer said their recent home is related to “freedom” and a place where they will “create new memories, new beginnings and fresh beginnings.”

Nearly a yr after Boss was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Holker sold his six-bedroom, six-bathroom Encino home for $3.525 million. When it got here to the moving process, Holker wasted no time.

“We moved in within three weeks,” she said. “Yes, it was very fast and it was very clean. But I’m very, very comfortable.” She added that she “felt like a weight had been lifted from our shoulders.”

Holker posted a clip of her interview on her Instagram page, where it was met with mixed reviews.

Many people sent their support, writing things like: “Allison is a classy person and a wonderful mother. I wish the whole family a happy and healthy life.” Another said: “You handled this in an incredibly brave way. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it was. Prayers for continued strength and healing.”

But others were skeptical.

“It’s weird. Something seems wrong,” one person said, while one other wrote: “Last step? Is the sadness over for you and your family?”

The mother-of-three also shared the “sweetest thing” her daughter Weslie Renae Fowler said to her after asking the 16-year-old if she was “comfortable” moving around. Holker said her daughter’s response was, “Mom, we’ve been waiting for you.”

And apparently Holker’s daughter played a huge role in helping her mother rediscover love. According to the “So You Think You Can Dance” judge, it was Weslie who encouraged Holker to get back on the dating scene.

Last month Holker he said People: “Actually, Weslie told me that I should open my heart to someone. And that really helped me feel like it was okay to be vulnerable and find love again. So she was a huge help to me.”

Holker is now dating technology CEO Adam Edmunds, with whom she made a public appearance at New York Fashion Week last month after hinting online in August that she was in a recent relationship.

And despite her relationship with Edmunds, she admits she’s not attempting to erase the nine-year marriage she had with the producer of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“I had such a beautiful love for Stephen and I still do. But the love I learned only helped me be even better in my next love,” Holker said. “I feel like I am now even more suited to this next step in my life, this next chapter with this beautiful new man, Adam.”

tWitch and Holker met on So You Think You Can Dance in 2010 and married three years later. They have three children: Holker’s adopted daughter from a previous relationship, Weslie Renae, and two biological children, Maddox Laurel (8) and Zaia (4).
