Black billionaire Robert F. Smith, CEO and founding father of Vista Equity Partners, is partnering with Blackstone to accumulate Smartsheet.

Smartsheet is a contemporary enterprise work management platform utilized by corporations around the globe. According to A press releaseroughly 85% of Fortune 500 corporations in 2024 use the Smartsheet platform.

Vista is a worldwide investment firm with over $100 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2024. The firm is thought for investing exclusively in enterprise software, data and technology corporations.

Blackstone is the world’s largest alternative asset manager and strives to deliver attractive returns to institutional and individual investors by strengthening the businesses during which they select to speculate.

Who is black billionaire Robert F. Smith?

According to him website, Smith was born to 2 working-class parents in a predominantly black middle-class neighborhood in Denver. Giving back was instilled in him at a young age.

“Every month for over 50 years, he watched as (his parents) donated their limited resources to charities such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), regardless of what was going on in their personal lives,” reads a press release on his website website.

It is obvious that higher education was also a priority for Smith. He earned a chemical engineering degree from Cornell University and later attended Columbia’s Business School. After graduating in 1994, he worked in investment banking in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs in New York and later in San Francisco.

In 2000, Smith founded Vista Equity Partners (Vista), a number one global investment firm. Under his leadership, the corporate’s portfolio includes several of the world’s leading enterprise software corporations.

NBA star Shaquille O’Neal has entered the candy industry together with his latest enterprise.

The host introduced the world to Shaq-A-Licious XL jelly beans. The latest line of candies is available in two different varieties: Shaq-A-Licious Original, which is formed like Shaq’s face, and Shaq-A-Licious Sour. The sour jumbo jelly beans are available three different shapes and flavors, and are named after a number of the nicknames he adopted during his basketball profession: “Diesel,” “Big Cactus,” and “Big Shamrock.” Shaq-A-Licious Sour flavors include pineapple, mixed berries and watermelon.

“I’m just a big kid at heart. I love making people smile and have fun – that’s why I created Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies. So go ahead and bite my head off. Life’s too short not to have fun!” Shaq said in a written statement.

The jellies were launched in cooperation with The Hershey Company.

Shaq was in New York to promote Shaq-A-Licious XL jelly beans appearing at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square. He was seen handing out the product to people contained in the store. He also chatted with comedian Jimmy Fallon to debate the brand new candy, amongst other things.

Big Diesel shall be honored in November on the Muhammad Ali Center bestows him the organization’s highest honor: the 2024 Muhammad Ali Humanitarian of the Year. On Saturday, November 9, the Louisville, Kentucky-based organization awarded Shaq the eleventh annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award.

He shall be joined by Grammy Award-winning music producer Niles Rodgers, who will receive the Global Citizenship Award; public interest lawyer Bryan Stevenson, who will take home lifetime achievement awards; and award-winning journalist Dawne Gee, who shall be honored as a Kentucky Humanitarian.

Nationwide voluntary recall of LACTAID milk due to potential almond allergen contamination –

On September 19, HP Hood LLC initiated a voluntary recall of five SKUs of LACTAID 96-ounce milk due to potential contamination with traces of almonds, an allergen not declared on the product label. The recall impacts consumers with almond allergies, who may experience serious or life-threatening reactions in the event that they eat the affected products.

Although no illnesses were reported, the recall has been initiated after routine maintenance revealed a risk of almond contamination. The affected products were distributed to retailers and wholesalers between September 5, 2024 and September 18, 2024 in 27 states, including Alabama, Colorado, Florida, New York, Texas and Virginia.

Details of the recalled product:

  • Product: 96 oz LACTAID Milk
  • Code: 51-4109 P2
  • Best by date: Specified on the product packaging.
  • Distributed throughout the states: AL, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, VA , WI, WY.

Consumers are advised to check the code and expiration date at the highest of the container. If the product matches the recalled SKU, it should be returned to the purpose of purchase for a full refund or exchange.

HP Hood urges anyone who purchased the recalled LACTAID milk to contact Hood Consumer Affairs at 800-242-2423 during business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET).

The product recall is being carried out with the knowledge and cooperation of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

General Motors began offering customers access to greater than 17,800 Tesla Superchargers using the GM-approved North American Charging Standard (NACS) DC adapter.

The iconic automaker announced the milestone on September 18, which is a component of GM’s broader effort to improve charging options for current and future electric vehicle (EV) drivers by providing fast, convenient charging across the country.

With this expansion, GM electric vehicle owners may have access to greater than 231,800 public Level 2 and DC fast chargers across North America. The rollout might be available to customers within the U.S. first, followed by Canada later this 12 months. The initiative also supports GM’s mission to speed up public charging infrastructure, specializing in community access and high-traffic routes through ongoing charging partnerships.

“GM’s commitment to expanding public charging infrastructure is critical to our all-electric future,” said Wade Sheffer, vice chairman of GM Energy. “By enabling even more fast chargers, we’re improving the customer experience and ensuring a smooth transition to electric.”

GM electric vehicle (EV) drivers will soon have seamless access to Tesla Superchargers using a GM-approved NACS DC adapter that could be purchased directly through GM’s vehicle brand app. In addition to purchasing the adapter, the apps will allow users to locate charging stations, initiate charging and pay for charging sessions. With the Tesla Superchargers integration, GM customers may have access to greater than 231,800 public Level 2 and DC fast chargers across the U.S. and Canada, with additional expansion expected as GM continues its efforts to expand the EV charging infrastructure.

U.S. customers should purchase a GM-approved NACS DC adapter for $225 through GM’s vehicle brand apps. These apps allow users to find Tesla Superchargers, check availability, initiate charging and pay for a session.

GM has partnered with many suppliers to ensure reliability NACS DC adapters provide compatibility with Tesla Supercharger charging stations and other chargers using the NACS standard.
