Garcelle Beauvais’ son Jax leaves ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’

Garcelle Beauvais has announced that her son Jax is leaving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills show.
Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of ABC Audio and GMA’s “Mothers of popular culture” podcast, the “RHOBH” star shared that one of her 16-year-old sons won’t be appearing on the upcoming 14th season of the show. Beauvais explained how her son Jax has needed to endure a “negative” experience since first appearing on the show.
“Right before this season, Jax told me, ‘Mom, I can’t do this anymore. It was too negative for me.’ I respected that, so he won’t be in this season at all,” the mother of three said.
Beauvais shares Jax and his twin brother Jaid along with her ex-husband, CAA agent Michael Nilon. She can also be mom to son Oliver Saunders, 33, whom she shares along with her first ex-husband, producer Daniel Saunders.
In August 2022, Jax was subjected to intense social media harassment by adult fans following an incident involving fellow RHOBH castmate Erika Girardi, who drunkenly cursed at Jax during Beauvais’ fifty fifth birthday celebration. Although Girardi herself apologized after the incident, fans didn’t hold back from subjecting the teenager, who was 14 on the time, and the youngsters of other forged members to a barrage of online hate.

“When it happened with Jax, it just floored me because nobody deserves that. Nobody’s kids deserve that. But I thought, you know, he’s doing this because of me and this is our family,” Beauvais recalled. “And it was his first week of high school. And for him to be exposed to all this nastiness and stuff like that, it was just awful. It was awful.”
Although Jax continued to compete in Season 13 despite the social media attacks, the teenager decided the truth show wasn’t for him.
Since joining the forged of RHOBH in Season 10, which premiered in 2020, Beauvais has revealed quite a bit about her family, including her teenage sons’ dating history, their frustrations along with her, and Oliver’s past struggles with addiction.
“I always leave it up to them to decide what the season will be,” Beauvais said on the podcast.
