LaTruth claims he was scammed by both of his children’s mothers when they lied about taking birth control
Robert “LaTruth” Hampton gave an exclusive interview to Atlanta Black Star’s “The Culture Club Uncensored” podcast earlier this yr, where he talked about his life and constructing relationships.
The 37-year-old influencer and recording artist has two daughters, a 5-year-old with his estranged wife Briana, and a teenage daughter from a previous relationship. He claims his children’s mothers cheated on him.
“In both of my situations, they intentionally stopped taking birth control,” LaTruth said. When asked if the ladies told him they weren’t using birth control, he replied, “After they got pregnant, they said they did it intentionally.”
YouTubers expressed outrage at LaTruth’s revelations, with several expressing sympathy for the web personality, and one religious commenter offering prayers.
“These are women who are harming our black men and making it harder for them to love, trust and do something for others that can be sincere. I pray that God heals you LaTruth, softens your heart and sends love when you are ready,” one person wrote.
LaTruth’s personal turmoil also features a tumultuous divorce from his estranged wife, Briana “Mrs. LaTruth” Hampton. The social media stars share one daughter, Amoura, together. LaTruth also helped raise three stepchildren from Briana’s previous relationship.
After marrying LaTruth in 2016 after just five months of dating, Briana celebrated her “divorce party” in March 2023. At the time of going to press, it was not confirmed whether the Hamptons were officially divorced.
“The only thing I can think of is just a lot of work,” LaTruth said when asked why the couple split. “Career choice seems to be the issue. That’s really the only thing. I think everything else has been great.”
Although LaTruth blamed work issues for the breakdown of his marriage, he previously cited disagreements over the possible adoption of Briana’s three children from a previous relationship — Lauryn, Isaiah, and Joshua — as a contributing factor to the breakup.
The Atlanta resident provided more details on the matter misunderstanding about adoption in an interview with The Culture Club Uncensored. LaTruth took particular offense to being called an absentee father after publicly saying he didn’t wish to be a father.
“I raise children who are not my children, I give them my all, I treat them as if they were my biological children. If someone calls you a loser in an argument, you get angry and say something like I said,” he explained.
Briana Hampton accused LaTruth of abuse and called the police on him in a single incident. However, officers didn’t arrest him. “Get low” rapper after visiting their home. He denied physically attacking the mother of his younger daughter.
LaTruth has received support from his fans online. For example, one wrote, “LaTruth was definitely abused on all levels by this girl. It’s really sad.” Another defender commented, “This girl ruined his brand.”

In addition to 5-year-old Amoura, LaTruth also has a teenage daughter, Desharia, with a previous girlfriend. Desharia recently gave birth to the Fast Cash Records founder’s first grandchild.
“I have a good relationship with my kids,” LaTruth said on the podcast “The Culture Club Uncensored.” “Every moment I spent with my kids was beautiful, so they know who I am in real life. None of this social media can even do anything about that.”
