Ronreaco Lee shines in the thriller of Tyler Perry “Duplicity” – Essence

Thanks to the kindness of Amazon Prime
The last thriller of Tythera Perry, today involves theaters, on March 20, providing a tense story of fraud, justice and betrayal. While the film offers a star solid, Ronreaco Lee pays attention to his performance.
Lee, whose profession covers 4 a long time, strengthened as a flexible actor who can switch between drama and comedy. From early roles, along with Denzel Washington to outstanding performances and Lee, he still proves its range. means his third cooperation with Perry after a series of successful projects, ranging from in 2008.
“This film had so many funny actors – David and Tamiela Mann to mention only a few. I remember how I tried to do my funny, and Mr. P said:” Let them do funny things. I brought you to do other things. ” And I thought, “It’s okay, cool, cool, cool.” But this moment got stuck with me – Lee wonders. “When I went, I used to be a bit restless – not nervous, but restless. I just desired to deliver. But after this film I spotted that Tyler trusts me. For some reason he puts me on roles,” Lee continues.
Before they arrived, Lee developed a deep level of comfort and trust from Perry. “On the first day of filming, he looked at me and said,” We play with it, Ron. ” And we did – adds Lee.
For Lee, working with Perry revealed a singular mix of humor and precision. Known for his meticulous direction, Perry also introduces the lightness of the set, maintaining the mood, while specializing in the task. “He is really serious, but he is also very funny. He has a way of communicating what he wants, whether from actors or a team, in a funny way,” Lee notes. “He does it very well. In a sense, his fingers. And again he does it really well, but he jokes, and he doesn’t care what the scene is. If something hits him, he just goes for it.”
He remembered the last scene in which he and his partner were in the automobile, when Tyler Perry unexpectedly used Bullhorn to speak with them. Usually, Perry uses Bullhorn from afar and this time hits the button, causing the siren sound away. Sudden noise prompted Lee and his partner to right away react, as in the event that they were detained, and Lee feverishly places objects from his pocket under the seat. Lee laughed at how his partner of the stage, Jennifer played, increasing the mood of the moment.

In Lee, he takes the role of Kevin, an experienced police officer who’s in the center of the shocking investigation. The debutant, Caleb (played by Jimmy Stanton), mentors after a tragic fatal shooting. During the game of the role of a cop it was something recent for Winner of the NAACP awardHe shared that it was not completely unknown. He mentions that he has played his own version of cops and robbers since childhood. He remembered watching programs as together with his parents, after which pretending to be Eddie Murphy Axel Foley at home. He wondered that in a way he was unknowingly preparing for this role all his life.
“I have never played a policeman in a movie. I think I played on television, just hospitably on the program, but this is one of those roles that I always wanted to take. Unfortunately, I never really had the opportunity-for now,” Lee divides. “Mr. Perry saw it in me and I definitely tried to enter there and eliminate him from the park.”
This is a classic story of Tyther Perry-Z with tension, complicated twists and a drama based on character. As with most of Perry’s work, the topics of the film resonate deeply with real struggles and social problems. Lee wonders how history reflects real tragedies, due to which his role is much more influential. “To be honest, for the first time I used to be part of a movie that directly deals with something so socially vital. We see these tragic incidents too often – in online news. And here, presenting what I feel is completely disgusting. It was surreal. They say that art imitates life, but it surely was a replicated life.
The solid of the Kat Graham function, Meagan Tandy and Tyler Lepley, and although the star’s power is undeniable, Lee notes that their bond has turn into stronger during a press trip. However, once on the set the pace changes dramatically. “TP [Tyler Perry] He shoots quickly, he didn’t mess. There may be very little time to do many of these items – admits Lee.
Despite the fast environment, Lee praises the depth of the film, describing it as full of “surprises” and emphasizing its complexity. He explains that the central journey of Graham, Cat Grams, is best summarized as “search for justice”, and one other key topic is “what you see, you don’t always get”.

“I need to make use of this platform, which I actually have to share with one other woman or one other man, that although love is amazing, things can go left and things develop into nasty. So you will have to be smart. I was not smart. Thank God that the judge was in a position to see the truth. But what if it wasn’t? Marriage and love.
