Ice Cube shocks fans with his shocking secret of surviving his 32-year marriage to wife Kim

Rapper turned basketball league owner Ice Cube recently appeared on Cam Newton’s podcast “Funky Friday with Cam Newton” and shared rare insight into his personal life and 32-year marriage to Kimberly Woodruff.

Together they’ve 4 children – O’Shea Jr., Darrell, Karima and Shareef – and remain one of essentially the most admired couples in Hollywood. Their historic relationship prompted the previous Carolina Panthers quarterback to get some tips about being locked in a marriage.
“So what’s a relationship or marriage hack? How long have you ever been married? Cam Newton asked Ice Cube.
The NWA founding member replied casually, “We have been married since 1992. So what is… 32 years?”
The former NFL quarterback, intrigued by the longevity, pressed further, asking, “How? How about, how, for the masses?”
Ice Cube didn’t hesitate in answering truthfully. “You have to want it. I don’t need anyone to not have my woman. She is mine. I’m hers,” he said.
His direct response revealed a deep commitment that has kept the bond between them strong for a long time. He and his wife have been together because the starting of his rap profession.
In fact, in 2010 confirmed that the mother of his children was the girl he mentioned within the 1993 hit: “It was a great day” as he rapped, he heard a “beep from Kim,” a young lady he had been pursuing “since 12th grade.”

“Man, you have to want it,” he said, before repeating that he didn’t want anyone else to have her and that they belonged together.
Cam expanded on this concept by saying, “What’s the word…staying strong? Some things in culture have never modified. It all depends upon how connected you’re with your partner.
Newton added that long-term relationships aren’t about waking up to a fairy tale every single day. Cube echoed this sentiment, offering a dose of realism: “You don’t like your mom every day. Sometimes she gets on your nerves. Not every day will be a bed of roses.”
Cube further explained that marriages require effort, patience, and a way of family.
“You can’t expect that from your spouse,” he said. “The point is, are you all family or not? You have to be willing to give, and there may be someone you’re willing to give your time, effort and love to.
The Westside Connection rapper’s “grown man” response resonated with fans after The Neighborhood Talk sent interview on his Instagram.
“Cube has always been a BIG DAWG… not a puppy,” one person wrote.
Another commented: “Cube is an ADULT HUMAN WITH GREATER MENTALITY!!! Cam is childish ~ how do you say “like?”
“When a man really loves you,” one other person wrote, “trust me, he only wants you.”
A fourth person added: “That’s the difference between men and boys.”
Fans are also very protective of the South Central resident’s relationship, even applauding those that dare to speak about marriage in gossip circles. When YouTuber Tasha K wanted to have a good time their thirty first wedding anniversary, fans made her watch what she said because of their love for the couple.
The interview highlighted a side of Ice Cube that shouldn’t be often seen by the general public – a faithful family man who values loyalty and partnership.
His candid comments are a reminder that even in a fast-paced industry like entertainment, lasting love is feasible with the suitable attitude. For Cube and Kim, the secret is to be a family first, keep it real and at all times want to give to one another.
