Shaquille O’Neal’s no-nonsense ultimatums on his daughters dating are almost as strict as his policy of driving his sons out of the house

Published

on

Shaquille O’Neal has completely different dating rules for his sons and daughters. The NBA star, who has three biological children with media mogul Shaunie Henderson and his eldest daughter from a previous relationship with businesswoman Arnetta Yardbourgh, has long been a vocal advocate of allowing his sons to begin dating once they turn 18, but barring his daughters from dating until they are around 20 . age. He now added that his girls, Taahirah, Amirah and Me’arah, aged 27, 22 and 17 respectively, cannot bring the boy home until they complete their master’s degrees.

On the March 20 episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” Shaquille O’Neal discussed the dating restrictions he placed on his six children with Bert Kreischer.

– How many children do you’ve got, Bert? – Shaq asked his guest.

The comedian replied that he had two girls who were 17 and 19 years old.

The former Los Angeles Lakers star then asked, “What are your dating rules?” Kreischer quickly said, “Zero. I even have no policy; I’m powerless. They do whatever they need. I just want them to be completely happy.

He continued, “I don’t want them bringing home a fan,” before telling Shaq, “I’m sure you feel the same way with your kids.”

However, the Hall of Fame center was clear that he would not have that problem because his daughters would not be dating boys at the moment.

“You’re a better dad than me,” the Newark resident began, before sharing his words with his two youngest daughters, Amirah and Me’arah.

“Don’t bring boys to my house unless you have a master’s degree,” Shaq said. “I don’t want to see them at all.”

The 52-year-old then stated that if his daughters brought home a boy, irrespective of how polite, “he would f**k it up.”

Shaq admits that if his daughter’s potential date got here with a three-piece suit, well-tailored and a master’s degree, he could be “impressed,” but then he would have one query he could ask to find out whether the boy was real or “shy.” like at the starting of his profession.

Shaq needs a solution to an easy query: “What are you trying to do?”

The restrictions imposed by the player-turned-commentator were widely commented on on social media.

“I’m with @SHAQ. Anyone who wants thus far my daughters must provide references and never do anything silly,” one person wrote.

A YouTube commenter explained why Shaq and Kreischer’s parenting styles are so different. “They raise their daughters differently because they treat women differently than men,” they wrote.

Shaq’s dating moods are no secret to fans who follow the NBA veteran’s life off the court. Earlier in 2018, while a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he shared the dating rules he put in place for his children. According to Shaq, he made these demands to make sure the primary focus was on learning and to reduce distractions.

“Well, my sons can date when they’re 18 and my daughters can date when they’re 24,” O’Neal told the comedian, who responded by saying his policy seemed unfair.

“Well, you are right; it isn’t fair, but my daughters are much smarter than my boys and I need them to at all times be focused,” he explained. “I need them to comprehend, ‘Hey, you’ve got to be completely happy in yourself.’ You don’t actually need anyone to make you completely happy. You can do your thing.

When Ellen asked what would occur if one of his daughters brought home a boyfriend, just like his response on his latest podcast episode, the 7-foot-1, 350-pound giant said it would not be pretty.

“I look forward to it. I will torture him,” he said.

“The first thing I need to let this guy know is that all these little things you think you’re doing, I made up. And all these little things like going to the movies and starting to do things like that, I did all that,” he added, “So I even have to let him know that I do know what he’s pondering. Just really torture him. Torture him hard.

Some on Platform X thought Shaq’s demands were silly.

“My sons can date when they are 18 and my daughters can date when they are 24 if Shaq doesn’t do it…” the critic wrote on Twitter.

Taahira O’Neal, Shaq’s firstborn and oldest daughter, turned 24 and recently revealed that she is actively dating. Taahirah graduated cum laude from Oglethorpe University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in politics and African-American studies, and despite the fact that she doesn’t have a master’s degree, she’s ready to search out a person.

The 27-year-old shared the news on the “Do I Know You” podcast, explaining that she has little interest in athletes like her famous father.

“I’m dating now. No offense to athletes, but I was raised by athletes, this is unacceptable to me. It does not make sense. Keep it up everyone, be respectful,” Taahirah said, stating that the grind was an excessive amount of based on her experience with one of the best basketball players in the world. She said she needed a partner who was far more thoughtful than the competitor.

Shaq’s gender policy with his children doesn’t just extend to dating. While he’s stricter with his daughters than his sons on the subject of once they can date, on the subject of funds and residential life, Shaq has stricter guidelines for his sons: Shareef, 24, and Shaqir, 20 ). Myles, 26, is Shaunie Henderson’s son from a previous relationship, although Shaq treated him as his own.

In 2021, he told Earn Your Leisure to access his share net price of almost $500 millionthere are guidelines they have to follow. “My children are older now. They got just a little upset with me. Not too upset, but they do not understand. I tell them this all the time. We are not wealthy. I’m wealthy.”

“You have to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, and if you want me to invest in one of your companies, you’re going to have to present it, boom, boom, boom, bring it to me,” he continued. “I’ll let you know, I won’t give you anything.”

A yr earlier, while a guest on “The Pivot Podcast,” Shaq told the hosts that his sons “have to go” once they turn 18 and that his three daughters are allowed to “stay as long as they want.”

“I tell my boys that while you all turn 18, you all must go. The girls can stay as long as they need,” Shaq said, adding that he would invest financially in his sons’ business ventures but wouldn’t donate to them.

Once again, his stance sparked strong reactions on social media.

“I listened to Shaq talk about how he’s rich and his kids aren’t,” one person said. “When they turn 18, they must earn all the things. He said he would not “give them anything” but would put money into their business or company in the event that they had a very good marketing strategy. But they are only sons. He said his daughters were fantastic, lol.

Another person wrote on Twitter: “The culture is the other way up. Shaq said he doesn’t give anything to his sons, but he’ll take care of his daughters. Now the girls look good and the boys look caught. The girl now thinks that no man can equal her and that she is healthier than she actually is, even higher than him.

Another commenter compared Shaq’s parenting style to the relationship between Dr. Dre and his daughter LaTanya Young, who revealed in 2021 that she was homeless and living out of a automobile.

Shaq will make all his sons earn a share of his fortune. moreover, it teaches them responsibility for acquiring their very own goods. his daughter can also be 38 years old. she must have made a profession out of her blessings and stopped keeping off her father’s attacks,” they wrote on Twitter.

One person said Shaq’s unwavering view could trigger a backlash.

“Shaq’s sons will be stealing crab legs from the grocery store while his daughter tweets about broke n-s,” user X wrote.

An attempt to save the image of Jeff Bezos’ future wife backfired after weeks of outrage and ridicule over her skimpy outfit

Lauren Sánchez has apparently gained a popularity for her fashion hits and misses as social media users began following her every move.

Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ current fiancée stepped into the highlight long before she met the Amazon co-founder, after years spent as co-host of “Good Day LA,” a reporter for “Extra” and host of “So You Think You Can Dance,” and he even starred in a number of movies like “Ted 2.”

She faced criticism for posting a sultry selfie in November in a negligee-inspired gown by designer Laura Basca. In October, the 54-year-old again faced backlash when she showed off her latex Halloween costume as Catwoman.

Now, weeks after being deemed “cheap” and tasteless, the founder of Black Ops Aviation has turn out to be a subject of discussion.

On December 5, Sánchez and the business mogul attended The New York Times’ DealBook event in New York City. For the occasion, she wore a white Alexander McQueen suit and a white lace corset. The beaming bride-to-be sent two mirror selfies of her outfit, which she signed: “winter white.”

One follower particularly was stunned by the whole look he ejaculated that she was “very attractive and beautiful, gorgeous and stunning, charming and fantastic young lady, sexy, charming, charming and elegant” in the photos that Sánchez took.

Two other people swooned over the photos and wrote: “So chic and elegant!” and “You look great.” But as you would possibly expect from online viewers, not everyone was impressed.

When Page six published paparazzi photos from the trip, the critic commented: “It’s 30 degrees in New York and she gets out of the limo in a white Miami smock, her bra visible to everyone. No taste. Nothing. A cashmere turtleneck, flannel trousers and a wool jacket can be classy.

Someone else sharply asked: “Who can be the first to tell her that she looks tacky and not elegant and refined? Does she even know what sophistication means? A 3rd person noted: “She looks more like she’s wearing a bathrobe.”

Another person wrote in a comment from a licensed pilot: “White means…” possibly referring to rumors that Sánchez and Bezos are scheduled to exchange vows over Christmas. At least one person doubted the couple would have the opportunity to say “I do.” This person said: “This will be the longest engagement ever. They will NEVER get married and we all know why!!!!”

Sánchez told the “Today” show hosts that she was in the process of planning the big day last month. She didn’t comment on speculation about exchanging Christmas vows.

Renewed interest and scrutiny of Sánchez has increased as the pair have been spotted in various locations in recent months. The couple reportedly began dating in 2018. Their engagement was announced five years later, in May 2023. Their upcoming wedding can be a second journey for each of them.

Sánchez was previously married to celebrity agent Patric Whitesell, with whom she has two children. She can be the mother of a son, whom she shares with Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez. Bezos was married to the mother of his three children, Mackenzie Scott, for 25 years once they divorced in 2019.

Apart from the song with singer-songwriter India Shawn – Andscape

Published

India Shawn is a contemporary muse with a chilled nature, crafting love stories and heartfelt tales in smooth, charming songs. With over a decade of experience in the music industry as a singer-songwriter, Shawn has incredible strength. She was born in Los Angeles, and her musical roots reach throughout the country. Beginning her profession in her hometown, Shawn eventually found herself in Atlanta, where she immersed herself in the city’s deep-rooted R&B scene, further shaping her artistry.

“I transferred to ATL, I was in 10th grade, and that’s when my music journey really started,” Shawn told Andscape. “I met people who were trying to get by, so I ended up recording and learned what songwriting was really early on.”

Before releasing her debut EP in 2012, Shawn wrote songs and collaborated with artists similar to Chris Brown, El DeBarge, Keri Hilson and Monica. In 2013, she gained much more notoriety when Solange Knowles published her song “I’m Alive” on the Saint Heron compilationmarking her as an artist value watching.

Following the release of the single “There Must Be a God” from the Andscape soundtrack, she caught up with Shawn to learn more about the muse behind the vibes.

Singer India Shawn grew up singing in church with her family. “I feel like most of us R&B kids have that experience,” she said.

Airy, soft, telling a story, multidimensional, soft, mysterious, atmospheric

The oldest musical memory

Shawn’s soulful sound is deeply rooted in her upbringing, with influences drawn from her childhood memories and the musical culture of her church. “I sing with my sister all the time, and I also grew up singing behind my mom in church. She was the leader of praise and worship. So I feel like most of us R&B kids have that experience,” Shawn said. “I had these little solos in church, and I believe what made me consider in it was that after the service people got here as much as me with tears of their eyes and said, ‘You really moved me while you sang.’ “These early moments of connection with music and audiences laid the foundation for conveying depth and sensitivity through her music.

Influences

For Shawn, music, especially R&B, has all the time held a special place in her life. “Me and my sister are harmonizing in the living room, just picking some of our favorite songs, including for me Mariah Carey, Babyface, Boyz II Men and (and) Brandy,” she said of her early music memories.

Creative process

Shawn often draws inspiration from real-life experiences and relationships that influence her music. She weaves this into the authenticity and atmosphere of her songs, but she didn’t immediately recognize where her inspiration got here from. “It’s funny that it took me so long to make that connection, but I realized that I was telling my whole story and presenting my business through my music,” she said. “It took me two albums to realize, wait a minute, I’m giving people a lot to understand here… these aren’t just songs. This is truly the life I live.”

Challenges and development

As Shawn’s profession grows, so do his moments of appreciation and reflection. “I literally just thought about a very gradual progression of my career. It’s like step by step, but there are more breakthrough moments. My first tour, which was so beautiful, I just knew I could pack a room and people knew my lyrics and sang my songs to me. Those moments that make the waiting not in vain.”

Shawn has plenty of recommendation for up-and-coming singer-songwriters. Her biggest sacrifice? Collaboration is essential. “I think (cooperation) is really why I’m still here. So find your people… you’ll know when it feels right, you’ll have that freedom and fluidity, and you’ll be able to really create things and create without having to think too much.” He also shares the importance of patience. “Just be patient during the journey. This has been a theme throughout my profession. Let it develop. I feel like more things come from being in that flow and being present reasonably than forcing all of it.

Current project

There should be a God”, the lead single from Andscape , now streaming on Hulu, also serves as a teaser for Shawn’s solo album. “(This song) is such a manifestation of God’s love,” she said. “I think when you find yourself in a place of waiting, you can feel very hopeless. So when you see glimpses of God’s love again, or the fact that you know there is a higher power, there is a source that is thinking about you, has you in mind, has a perfect plan for you, it’s just like the clouds parting. And this is the moment, I understand. I understand that I had to go through all this to get here. And that’s exactly what I felt in the studio that day.”

Sheila Matthews is a digital producer at Andscape and a proud HBCU graduate. She believes “Return of the Mack” must have won a Grammy, and her Twitter mentions are open to all debate.
