It’s almost time again! Your whole family will gather for Christmas dinner. You enthusiastically sit down at your dressing table, reach to your favorite red lipstick and gracefully swipe it across your lips. That’s after all before you add the glitter shadow that hasn’t been touched in ages. The finish is timeless and reminds you that preparing for the vacations is each fun and nostalgic.

In other words, it is time to embrace colours, sparkles and more to precise our joy for the season. Makeup trends may also help us step outside of our comfort zone and take a look at different looks we would not otherwise take into consideration. Kelly Bellevue AND HallTimsoften known as Halle J, are two make-up artists who live the newest make-up trends.

Below, their hot tackle what to anticipate this season.

Lip color

When it involves lip color, each women agree that deeper reds are the colour this 12 months. “Bordeaux it’s one among my favorite colours through the holiday season. It’s deeper and richer than the red all of us associate with the vacations, nevertheless it feels very luxurious,” says Bellevue. To complement the deeper shade of red, he uses Mac lip liner in Vino because who doesn’t like a little bit of red wine on their lips?

Glitter vs. coloured pencils

Glitter is understood for having a little bit of extremism to it. When we hear glitter, most of us wish to scream on the considered glitter stepping into our eyes or transferring to someone after greeting us. However, with an excellent fixative spray, glitter generally is a nice touch to this 12 months’s trends, without going overboard.

“I don’t think a graphic glitter liner will be as popular as highlighting the inner corner of the eye with a light, high-impact glitter/shine or streaks of glitter in the center of the eyelid,” says Bellevue. He recommends achieving this by starting with Laura Mercier caviar stick and eventually Major Dimension Eye Illusion eye shadow palette by Patrick Ta.

Those who do not like glitter accents this season should not alone. Tims is not a fan of the trend either, and advises beauty enthusiasts to top it off with some fun eyeliner. He says, “Colored lining is great for a pop of color and something different.” Adding a light-weight or deep red eyeliner can add interest to the attention area. Deep green shades are also a giant hit this season and generally is a fun addition to any makeup look.

Blush

Would the vacations be complete without blush? Our experts don’t appear to think so. Blush had an enormous moment with the strawberry trend last 12 months; luckily this 12 months it’s still on par with other pink trends. Continuing with the theme of red, Tims believes that red blushes are on the rise. However, unlike lipsticks, the colour red will be different for each skin tone. Plum pinks complement deeper shades, while lighter reds work well with yellow tones. We highly recommend you randomly test what shade of red suits you before commenting on the colour.

Contour

There was a time when a powerful contour was mandatory for any look. Are we the one ones who bought all of the contouring palettes in 2013? It’s time to open the contouring palettes, since the trend is back. Bellevue confirmed that one among the trends that will surprise us essentially the most is a powerful contour.

If you’re not a pink girl, or even when you are, a powerful, contoured look can bring back an old tradition for the vacations. However, if you wish to have some blush in your contour, you should want to watch out. Bellevue says: “The pink is still big, but I wouldn’t make it with a sharp outline. Both are still fashionable.”
