Lionel Richie’s breathtaking date with a young girl sparks a firestorm when fans find out she’s more than half his age

Lionel Richie and his girlfriend of ten years are still doing well.

The “All Night Long” singer and Lisa Parigi, 34, were photographed by paparazzi in May as they stepped out to eat in Los Angeles.

It was a quiet evening for the couple as Richie, 74, was spotted wearing a black shirt, jacket and jeans, while his lady wore a white crop top, denim jacket and black trousers. Both people were wearing sneakers – Richie in a yellow pair and Parigi in white ones.

Fans expressed within the comments of the Daily Mail, contempt for the “American Idol” judge and the drastic age difference between Parigi.

One person wrote: “I love Lionel but the age difference here is grotesque.”

Someone else said: “40 years apart, you have got got to be kidding me. I do not care who this man is, that is just disgusting. She wasted her youth hoping for some dollars. Disgusting.”

“He was 40 when she was born. Amazing,” one other revealed.

A fourth person said: “This young girl doesn’t care that she’s sufficiently old to be her grandfather. She would not look twice at him if he was the jo shmo round the corner.

Despite fans’ clear disapproval of Richie and Pariga’s romance, it doesn’t prevent their relationship from developing.

Parigi is from Switzerland and just before meeting Rich, she decided to take break day from her job at a tech company and travel. To escape the “depressing” weather in Switzerland, she went to Los Angeles and met Richie there.

One evening, a mutual friend invited her to dinner, and the “Easy Like Sunday Morning” singer attended the identical dinner.

“So I’m at this dinner, he was at the same dinner, we get introduced and what can I say, it was very organic and very coincidental,” she stated within the 2022 release. Richie, whose net price is $200 million, has been married twice and had three children from those unions. But the sentiments are mutual as he talked about his relationship with Parigi in a separate interview.

“I’m a hopeless romantic,” he said People Magazine in 2019. “She is incredibly beautiful, but above all, she is smart and helps me deal with my crazy world.”

One of the ways Parigi shows Richie in his “crazy world” is by making him feel secure. Her hobbies include accompanying her longtime boyfriend on his world tours all over the world and watching him perform her favorite songs akin to “Endless Love” and “Stuck On You”.

“At this point in my life when I’m so bored with things, (my girlfriend) Lisa makes everything feel a little safe,” Richie said.

Parigi is currently the CEO and founding father of lifestyle brand The Estate Collection and her skincare company Glow Up Beauty. Richie will resume touring after Christmas.
