Jennifer Lopez’s piercing in front of Celine Dion sparks speculation that there is a conflict between the two divas
Is something brewing between Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion?
Fans actually think so after a video of Lopez seemingly ogling the five-time Grammy Award-winning Canadian singer.
In the clip, the two ladies are dressed in dazzling gowns and taking photos, with Lebanese dressmaker Elie Saab standing between them. On the opposite side of the outspoken JLo were actress Halle Berry and singer Camilla Cabello, who ended up standing next to Dion, presumably to even out the number of women standing on either side of Saab.
However, while taking the photo, fans noticed that Lopez kept seeking to the side, in the direction where Dion was standing. It’s not 100% clear if the “Pretty” actress was actually Dion or something, and the video pans thus far to the right at some points that Dion is even cut out of it. But in the moments where she is visible, she doesn’t take a look at JLo.
Fans reacted to Lopez’s strange behavior in the clip. One person commented under the video: “Look at J.Lo looking at Celine Dion… baby, there’s no comparison, Celine is Queen, come to your senses!!!”
“So uncertain. Celine didn’t even look her way,” one other commenter noted.
“J.Lo can’t take her eyes off Celine,” a third person wrote, while one other replied, “Because she’s jealous of her and that’s the point.”
Another fan simply asked, “Is there a conflict between them?”
All the ladies arrived in Saudi Arabia as guests of Saab’s November 13 runway show titled “1001 Seasons of Elie Saab”, which commemorated the forty fifth anniversary of his legacy. At one point all the women who had posed for the photo got here on stage and the performers were Dion, Lopez and Cabello.
Berry, on the other hand, was there to honor Saab by showing off the same dress he made for her when she won the 2002 Academy Award for Best Leading Actress. That night, Berry made history as the first black woman to win the title and, to this present day, is the only black woman to win the title.
Wearing a gold sequined floor-length gown, Dion graced the event by singing two of her songs: “The Power of Love” and “I’m Alive.”
For her performance, Lopez ditched her dark green halter dress in favor of a silver, sparkly suit. She performed a nearly eight-minute medley, starting with “I Will Survive” after which moving on to her own songs “Waiting for Tonight,” “On the Floor” and “Let’s Get Loud.”
