Gabrielle Union under fire after Dwyane Wade’s ‘Break Baby’ noticeably disappeared from family photos

Dwyane Wade can now say that his NBA legacy is cemented, set in bronze and etched in stone. The Miami Heat caused a social media storm when the retired basketball player was honored with the revealing of his own statue in front of the Kaseya Center.

A sculpture depicting the “this is my home” moment after the team’s 2009 victory over the Chicago Bulls caused a stir, but much more moments from the massive celebration he shared with friends and family sparked latest conversation.

His wife, Gabrielle Union, gave Instagram followers a sneak peek at a James Bond-inspired event titled “Statues Are Forever” that took place the night before the statue’s October 26 unveiling.

Guests included Uncle Luke, DJ Khaled, rapper Trina, Tia Mowry and, in fact, the Wade children – his children Zaire and Zaya from his previous marriage to Siovaughn Funches, his nephew Dahveon and his and Union’s daughter Kaavia James.

On this occasion, the three-time NBA champion wore his best 007 outfit: a tuxedo, black pants and a white coat. Union wore a form-fitting black sequined gown with a halter neck and sheer straps. Their children dressed appropriately in evening gowns and suits.
