John Legend’s manager was a former college graduate who spent her family vacationing on the picturesque island of St. Barts – a playground for the wealthy and famous – and suddenly all the pieces modified after her participation in Diddy’s party.

In a recent New York Times article, Ty Sticlorius reminds a few years ago when she attended a party hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Stiklorius described the experience as “terrifying” because she remembers feeling trapped by one among Diddy’s friends. As luck would have it, she managed to “escape” and eventually carved out a spot for herself within the industry amongst individuals who didn’t agree with the questionable antics she encountered that night.

“Twenty-seven years ago I used to be on a family vacation within the Caribbean and my brother and I managed to get to a New Year’s Eve party on a yacht docked in St. Barts. I recently graduated from college and it was hard to not get overwhelmed by the multitude of daring names on the board. But the glow of the situation quickly faded,” Sticlorius wrote.

She explained that she “was directed to a bedroom by a man who appeared to be an associate of the party host, Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs,” which she believed was a disco hall.

“To this day, I don’t remember how I managed to escape that terrifying situation,” she continued. “Maybe it’s my nervous babbling, ‘My brother’s on that boat and he’s probably in search of me!’ — convinced him to open the bedroom door and let me go.

According to Stiklorius, when the most recent news of Diddy’s indictment broke online, “something in her mind went back to that night on the yacht.”

She then described it as a man who was just drunk and misbehaving at a party. Now the founding father of Friends at Work realizes there may be a through line.

“I now know, after 20 years as a music industry executive, that what happened that night was not an aberration – it was indicative of a pervasive culture within the music industry that actively encouraged sexual misconduct and exploited the lives and bodies of those that had hope to achieve success in business,” Sticlorius continued.

According to Stiklorius, the ability structure within the music industry allows wealthy, entitled men to dominate the paths to success, often abusing their unchecked power. Women specifically face danger in studios, tour buses and offices, which she says is just not a flaw within the industry – it’s deeply ingrained within the industry’s culture.

“But there is hope — we may finally be on the cusp of real change in the industry’s culture thanks to changes in the business model that have loosened the grip of exploitative gatekeepers,” she said, referring to how technology is allowing independent artists to bypass an outdated model that allowed a number of, mainly men, have the ability to greenlight people’s careers, and use that power to force people to do outrageous things just to achieve success.

Legend, a friend of Stiklorius’s from college at the University of Pennsylvania, helped introduce her to the music business by surrounding her with a community of protected people.

Many people on social media have commented on her coming out together with her story now, mainly suggesting that Stiklorius is attempting to distance her client from a scandal that would put the Bad Boy Records founder in prison for the remainder of his life.

“Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii….. I’m sure she’s a victim” comment To readneglecting the incontrovertible fact that she was around twenty years old and fresh out of school. “I’m sure those entertainment lawyers and executives had no idea what was occurring.

Third he believes“She’s trying to cover for him and his wife.”

Other he wrote“Now they are going to attempt to turn the attendees of all of Diddy’s parties into victims quite than the accomplices they really are. I see what is going on on here.”

While Legend doesn’t seem to interact within the antics she mentioned, that does not imply he’s very strict. Many people wondered if he was amongst the various celebrities who attended Diddy’s “Freak-Offs,” or the all-night parties he allegedly used since 2008 to facilitate the abuse and exploitation of girls and men. There are reports that he manipulated several victims into stopping talking. threatening to publish the video.

The couple appeared on the red carpet at the 58th editionvol annual Grammy Awards, when the previous model drew a matter card asking her to call a public place where she had sex.

She replied, “Probably an Obama thing,” leaving the singer speechless.

AJ Calloway, “Extra” correspondent for the segment, pressed for more details about his meeting with the forty fourth president, but Legend replied, “I don’t know. We won’t speak about it.”

After a while, the couple clarified that their intimate meeting didn’t happen at the White House and took place before Obama became president.

Assuming her husband was embarrassed by her honesty, Teigen ended the segment by saying, “I’m sorry. I’m in trouble now.

It’s unclear whether Teigen, a mother of 4, actually got into trouble or faced any backlash from her husband or the White House for her statement.

However, the “All of Me” singer has been vocal about Diddy’s allegations and the terrifying video released in May 2024 of him beating up his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby.

“I was horrified by the descriptions I read before the video evidence was released, and it is absolutely something that needs to be brought to light when it happens,” Legend said in an announcement interview on CNN, calling Diddy’s actions “disgraceful.”

Legend went on to say that his “default position” is to “believe women when they make these accusations and make sure we do everything we can to support them.”

He added: “It’s an actual shame. I actually just want accountability and hopefully healing for all of his victims.
