Explicit billboard featuring fake image of Kamala Harris removed from Ohio highway as company says it was unaware of its ‘vulgar’ nature
Drivers heading west on State Highway 16 in Newark, Ohio, will now not have to clarify to their children or elderly moms why the Vice President of the United States is shown on her knees together with her tongue hanging out, together with her intentions made clear to most individuals of a certain age.
A representative of the billboard company that posted the fake image, paid by an area company, Towing the RK, he said On Monday, the Newark Advocate discontinued the ad because of its “vulgar” insinuations. So why did they let it occur in the primary place?
A spokesman for Kennedy Outdoor Advertising said those that approved the billboard didn’t understand the sexual undertones. It was erected on Friday and dismantled two days later.
“When the vulgarity of the ad was brought to our attention, we immediately removed it,” said Clayton, a Kennedy spokesman who declined to provide his name because of threats the agency received after the billboard was removed.
“We do not tolerate something like this, under any circumstances,” he continued. “Whether we agree with it politically or not, we would never agree to something like this. It was definitely a mistake.”
Harris does he handled such misogyny since she first ran for San Francisco District Attorney in 2002. From the very starting, she was bothered by right-wing insinuations, and lots of people pointed to her connections with Willie Brown, the speaker of the California State Assembly and the king of the Democratic Party – Bay Area politicians from the Nineteen Nineties.
Critics have accused Harris of sleeping her solution to the highest, which ignores the incontrovertible fact that she has never lost a general election in six tries, starting with the attorney general’s office, then California’s attorney general, the U.S. Senate, and at last the vp.
However, the humiliation of minors continues.
One speaker attended Donald Trump’s now-infamous rally at Madison Square Garden he insisted “(Harris) and her pimps will destroy our country.”
Some Christian nationalist leaders accuse her of being possessed by the “spirit of Jezebel.” Using a well-recognized trope for girls running for president, Trump declared that Harris wouldn’t give you the chance to take care of powerful world leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“It will be so easy for them,” the previous president told Fox News. “It will be like a toy.”
But a billboard in Ohio could mark a brand new low. A spokesman for Kennedy Outdoor Advertising said there was just one billboard and that person thought it depicted the vp as a “bear bear.”
The copy includes text surrounding the fake photo that reads: “Kamala I am unable to talk now. She’s at the child shower.
“If three or four people had viewed this piece of art, of course it probably would never have ended up on the billboard,” the spokesman said. “But if it’s one person reviewing it, they may not be thinking about it or being aware of the sexual undertones in the ad. It’s not like an ad goes through five or six people who review it and approve it.”
“Some people are just disgusting… I’m glad someone had the common sense to deal with this crap…” he wrote one of X’s commentators.
It turned on one other: “This shows who THEY are, misogynistic liars.”
Harris’ billboard was juxtaposed with an adjoining billboard depicting Trump’s face, accompanied by a quote from the previous president: “They’re not actually after me, they’re after you. I’m just interrupting.
In the comments section at article published by the Latin Times, one commentator wondered how anyone could make an ethical argument in Trump’s favor.
“This is a guy who was convicted of sexual assault, dated a sexual predator, sexually assaulted his first wife and, as part of his duties as owner of the Miss America pageants, stared at young women,” the reader said. “And these are only just a few examples documented in the general public record. And you might be morally judging Kamala Harris based on rumors. You cannot make this up.
