Sasha and Malia Obama’s ‘trashy’ fashion choices spark outrage, but fans don’t care

Malia and Sasha Obama are girls who just need to have a good time, but a few of the public cannot come to terms with seeing them as young women and not children who once called the White House home.

Their lives have develop into even higher since they and their parents, former President Barack and Michelle Obama, made history in 2008 as the primary black family in America.

The former Illinois state senator left the Oval Office in 2017 after serving two terms. At that point, Malia and Sasha were 18 and 15 years old, respectively.

Now, as college graduates Malia from Harvard University and Sasha from the University of Southern California forge their very own paths in Los Angeles and New York, the women are receiving mixed reactions to the novel change of their images.

Although they previously lived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, they were rarely seen with unruly hair and all the time had access to a wardrobe of polo shirts and tailored skirts and blouses. As adults, they appear to be taking a more relaxed and sometimes daring approach to fashion.

For example: After being spotted at pop star Billie Eilish’s Halloween party in Hollywood on October 26, people online had so much to say about their “cheesy” costumes.

Malia wore a white tank top, a denim mini skirt, black thigh-high boots and a black hat. She also wore a snake round her neck and a tattoo round her left bicep. She hid her face from the paparazzi photographing her every move.

Sasha’s style was much more eclectic: brown striped mini shorts, a blue midriff-baring T-shirt, a protracted black trench coat, and loose brown leather calf-high boots. Although the theme of the star-studded party shouldn’t be entirely clear, it is apparent that the sisters have taken on a rock and western movie star vibe.

Unlike Malia, Obama’s younger sister looked straight into the blazing camera lights with an almost expressionless gaze. “Sasha always looks like she’s ready to curse someone out,” someone joked online.

A fan who appreciated their efforts commented“They are both just gorgeous and have legs for days! I really like their style, it’s a breath of fresh air from the ig baddie look.”

The second one who approved of one another’s individuality wrote, “They both show carefreeness in different ways and I really like that.” Someone else noted that Sasha “looks slimmer but the homebody doesn’t want to wear a bra.”

But the comments turned sharp because the Obamas were criticized for abandoning their well-maintained image. “I don’t know if it’s because they just don’t have it or they just don’t know how to dress. I don’t know what you’re all looking at that I’m missing. But yes, apart from that Sasha is a lovely girl,” one such comment reads.

Two others read: “I miss that preppy look” and “I think the official name for this type of costume is cheesy wild west.”

Malia and Sasha have faced backlash up to now for his or her rugged appearance and the proven fact that they adopted dad Barack’s old habit of smoking cigarettes. The younger woman was even heavily criticized online for looking “homeless” and too figure for some strangers’ standards. None of the women ever responded to unflattering comments.

After graduating, Malia wrote scripts for the TV series “Swarm,” which starred Eilish, and made her directorial debut this yr with the short film “The Heart.” Sasha is alleged to be following in her older sister’s footsteps by participating in various production gigs.
