Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James and his 20-year-old son Bronny James have officially began working together on the basketball court. They could also go to the courtroom.

On October 22, LeBron and Bronny made history by becoming the primary father-son duo to play together within the NBA. The 39-year-old basketball legend spent about two and a half minutes of motion with the rookie.

“Walking up to the scoring table with my dad and checking in for the first time was a crazy moment that I will never forget,” Bronny said in her post-match interview.

His dad added, “To be able to experience this moment where I’m still working and able to work alongside my son is one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received from a man upstairs.”

While LeBron celebrated Bronny’s debut with the Los Angeles Lakers, April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen took legal motion against the James family.

According to TMZeach women are suing LeBron and his son for unspecified damages in reference to a automotive accident that occurred on November 13, 2022. Lopez and McGillen claim they were injured within the alleged accident, which occurred in Littlerock, California.

The plaintiffs also argued that the worth of their vehicle was reduced as a consequence of the damage attributable to the wreck. According to reports, the lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County just hours before Bronny checked in for the Lakers game on the Crypto.com Arena.

As of press time, neither father-son duo has publicly commented on the continuing lawsuit.

Commentator for TMZ Instagram page he wrote: “What’s crazy to me is that people need the lives of others for stability.” Another fan wondered, “Right after they made NBA history, all of a sudden this story came out.”

A 3rd person commented: “Man, even if Bron or Bronny has rear-ended someone, they’re doing it on a larger scale, trying to maximize their payout on top of their insurance payout, wtf.”

Someone else responded by throwing shade at Los Angeles’ 2024 second-round draft pick, posting: “Such bad news after Bronny’s big night with zero points.”

Many people still query why the two women waited until Tuesday to file their lawsuits. One person said, “But 2 years later?” while one other added: “Where the hell is the dash cam and why has this only been reported now? Something doesn’t sound correct.”

Coming to their defense, the loyal supporter added: “Watch them start lying! Leave the James family alone.”

The Los Angeles Lakers won the primary game of the 2024-2025 season 110-103 against All-Star scorer Anthony “Ant-Man” Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

LeBron finished the sport with 16 points, five rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes of play. Bronny played for two:41 and went 0-for-2 on field goal attempts.

Edwards had 27 points, six rebounds and three assists in his team’s loss. Like LeBron and Bronny, the primary overall pick within the 2020 NBA draft is facing an out-of-court legal battle.

Edwards has asked a Georgia court to find out paternity rights for the child born to social media influencer Ayesha “Little Ms. Golden” Howard. A paternity status conference is scheduled for November 13.

In 2024, Bronny James also made headlines for his dating life. The former University of Southern California Trojan is alleged to be in a relationship with Parker Whitfield.

The Spelman College sophomore is the daughter of actress Salla Richardson-Whitfield and actor Dondré T. Whitfield. Bronny and Parker reportedly met while attending Sierra Canyon High School in California.

Salli Richardson-Whitfield is connected to the legacy of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Chicago native directed episodes of the tv series “Victory Time: Rise of a Lakers Dynasty” on HBO.

In the following NBA game, LeBron James, Bronny James and the Lakers will face the Phoenix Suns on October 25 on the Crypto.com Arena. On October 23, the Suns will defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 116-113 in additional time.
