Woman who filmed Waymo’s honking job got an apology ad, then spent all day on it

Sophia Tung founded live broadcast last summer, showing autonomous Waymo cars honking at all hours of the night in a San Francisco parking zone near her apartment.

To apologize for the difficulty, Waymo threw an ice cream party at Tung’s constructing and gave Tung, a software engineer, some promotional codes that might be redeemed without cost rides.

The outfit could have underestimated her. After giving just a few friends some Tung codes – realizing that the worth of the codes was not limited – she decided to make use of the last one to ride Waymo for twenty-four hours, visiting tourist spots comparable to Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, and Twin Peaks. Unfortunately, after 80 miles and 6.5 hours, her Waymo ended the ride with 20 miles left, cutting her plans short.
