Being the kid of a former US president comes with lots of scrutiny and pressure. While President Barack Obama has been out of the White House for seven years, his daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama, are still within the highlight.

While they each lead relatively quiet lives, from time to time the Obama sisters are caught in public just minding their very own business – which might still be met with harsh criticism.

On Friday, September 13, Sasha was spotted driving in Los Angeles traffic, but before she reached her destination, a witness snapped a photograph of the 23-year-old smoking a cigarette.

Following the recent news of Sasha’s habit spreading, user X — an apparent Trump supporter — took to the social media platform to criticize her, posting an old photo of her smoking. But she wasn’t his only goal.

In the identical post, user X also criticized President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella.

Three months ago Hunter was convicted three felony counts of making false statements a few 2018 gun purchase by claiming he was not a drug user. In a separate case, he pleaded guilty to nine counts in his federal tax case and will probably be sentenced Dec. 16.

On the opposite hand, Ella I got a negative response for posting a link to help raise funds for the United Nations Humanitarian Agency and the Palestinian Refugees within the Near East, some of whose members were allegedly involved within the terrorist attack in Israel.

User X shared a collage photo of all three people, and likewise added a photograph of Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, looking polished. He said: “We are not the same. One raised by Donald and Melania Trump. One raised by the Obamas. One raised by the Bidens. One raised by the Harrises. Which parents do you take?”

Despite receiving over 152,000 likes, User X also faced criticism from other X users — some of whom felt the necessity to defend themselves, particularly Sasha.

Someone said, “Leave Malia and Sasha alone, because even if Barron was smoking a cigarette you wouldn’t fucking bat an eyelid.”

Another wrote: “Sasha Obama literally smokes a cigarette, a habit she only picked up after she reached adulthood. I don’t see any problem with that. You’ve never heard anything negative about the Obama girls, so this post is stupid.”

A 3rd person said: “Sasha is a grown woman, it’s not like she’s 12 and smoking cigarettes. Get a grip.”

The Sasha smoking incident is nothing recent, as she has been spotted smoking several times in recent times. But as well as to that, her older sister Malia, 26, has also been caught smoking several times by gawkers — a habit that each girls apparently picked up from their father.

In 2020, Barack released a memoir titled “A Promised Land,” which detailed his struggles with smoking and why he quit. In it, he explained that he would smoke up to 10 cigarettes a day, in search of “a discreet place to smoke in the evening.”

But at some point, his cover was blown when his eldest daughter, Malia, caught the scent of cigarettes on his breath, which made her frown. The father of two reportedly decided to start chewing nicotine gum to kick the habit.

The forty fourth president has admitted he has had trouble quitting, telling reporters in 2009: “I still struggle with it. Do I ever let go? Yes. Do I smoke every day, do I smoke constantly? No.”

He later added, “Once you go down that path, it’s something you constantly struggle with.”

But in 2011, Barack’s wife, Michelle, confirmed to the White House that her husband had quit smoking. he said“It’s been almost a year.”
