Steph Curry Stuns Wife Ayesha After Removing Golden State Warriors From His Instagram Profile
Stephen “Steph” Curry has agreed to a $62.6 million contract extension with the Golden State Warriors through the 2026-27 season.
However, it seems that the NBA superstar’s wife, Ayesha Curry, experienced a moment of panic, fearing that the family would go away the San Francisco Bay Area.
Emily Chang, host of Bloomberg Originals’ The Circuit, recently caught up with the Currys at their Workday Charity Classic golf tournament last week. Chang shared footage of her interaction with Steph, 36, and Ayesha, 35, on social media.
In the short clip, Chang mentioned that Steph had removed all references to the Warriors franchise from her Instagram page. A visibly confused Ayesha checked out her husband and replied, “Wait, what?”
Steph’s Instagram bio currently reads: “Believer. Father. Husband. Founder. Philanthropist. And… Olympic Gold Medalist. Philippians 4:13.”
According to Clutch Points, “Olympic gold medalist” replaced “Guard for @Warriors.”
The four-time NBA champion explained the transition to his wife: “I was just proud to be an Olympian.”
“Good news for @warriors fans, @stephencurry30 just signed a new 1 year contract. But when I saw him this week he said the plan is to stay forever!!” Chang wrote under the clip. “PSSuper fun episode of ‘The Circuit’ with Steph and @ayeshacurry.”
Steph and Ayesha Curry’s conversation with Emily Chang sparked mixed reactions within the comments section, with people specifically sharing their opinions on the four-time NBA champion staying in Golden State.
“He needed to get out of there!! He wasted his last years, smh!” one person commented. A fan said, “See, I told you. Steph Warrior forever, you can relax, we’re coming back with (a) vengeance.”
Regarding the filmed exchange between Emily Chang and Curry, one critic stated, “I feel sorry for the f**k.”
But Chang has also received support. One of her defenders said, “I love your interviews and your interview style. They’re so refreshingly original.”
Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry hosted the fifth annual Workday Charity Classic on August 28 at Stanford University Golf Course. The charity event in Stanford, California, advantages Currys’ Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.
“We are excited to announce that funds from this year’s event will go towards Eat. Learn. Play.’s mission to help 10,000 elementary school students excel in reading and develop a love of learning,” the nonprofit said. he wrote on Instagram.
The statement continued: “Plus, Eat. Learn. Play. is committing $25 million over the next five years to provide intensive, one-on-one tutoring to Oakland students who need it most.”
The Golden State Warriors chosen Steph Curry with the seventh overall pick within the 2009 NBA draft. His parents, Dell and Sonya Curry, were convinced he can be chosen by New York on the time.
