New WYN line honors Serena Williams’ Grand Slam anniversary – Essence

In 1999, 17-12 months-old tennis champion Serena Williams won the singles final on the US Open, the victory becoming her first of 23 Grand Slams.
Now that the tournament is starting, Beauty of WYN Founder and best tennis player of all time celebrates twenty fifth Grand Slam anniversary with a brand new athlete-proof lip collection.
“I tried to capture the feeling of victory in the shades, names and formulas. I hope that with this launch I can inspire others to celebrate their own personal victories,” Williams tells ESSENCE.
Joining WYN’s existing collection of lip products which incorporates mat AND lipstick with a lightweight structure, lip and cheek colorand lip serum––that is latest STARTING LINE lip liner with added peptides SPEECH OF ACCEPTANCE shimmering moisturizing lip gloss.
Enriched with high-performance, long-lasting ingredients like hyaluronic acid and peptides, the newest collection lasts even after intense movement. “When we were developing our lip liner, I wanted to create a liner that would glide on the lips as smoothly and precisely as our GLIDELINE waterproof liquid eyeliner “This goes for the eyes too,” she says, and each products feature waterproof color.
As a fan of graduated cosmetics, Williams used an original lip combination (think: her tackle 2024 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony) applied a matte, brown lipstick, light as a feather, in a shade of pink to their lips.
Now, together with her latest launch, she has eight latest liner and gloss shades so as to add to her routine. From the colourful red of “bold” Starting Line and the deep warm brown of “victory” Acceptance Speech to the nude peach of “prize” and the nice and cozy gold shimmer called “trophy,” each color represents a win.
“I’m a huge fan of lips, whether bold or nude, matte or glossy,” she says, turning lips into her biggest section at WYN Beauty. “I especially like playing with eyeliners and glosses for a layered look, so I’m excited we’re finally launching both together.”
