Martin Lawrence’s latest comedy special has fans worried after he ‘talks slowly’ on stage

Comedian Martin Lawrence is setting the record straight after rumors about his health surfaced earlier this 12 months. During his Aug. 30 stop in Detroit on his Y’all Know What It Is! tour, Lawrence addressed speculation that he had suffered a stroke.

The entertainer, who has been selling out shows, coping with critics within the audience and reminding people why many consider him probably the greatest comedians of his generation, took a moment during his set to debunk the rumors.

Fans captured video of the show from a distance in a single section, where he might be seen walking out into the group and joking in regards to the speculation.

“Then they say I talk slow and I’m lethargic and all that,” Lawrence continued, “I’m probably high.”

Despite his cheerful approach, some fans were still concerned.

Others expressed similar feelings, noting that he spoke slowly.

This is not the primary time Lawrence has needed to reassure fans about his health.

In an interview with “Ebro In the Morning”, he was asked if he would really like to discuss his health with fans, and he replied: “I feel good. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed, you know. Everything is fine. People don’t have to worry.”

Despite the rumors, sources near the actor assured that the “Big Momma’s House” star is in great shape and even shared videos of him boxing to point out off his fitness.
