In the refreshed clip, fans are assured that Serena Williams’ eldest daughter is perfectly acquainted with the principles of Black Discipline 101, because of her mother’s side of the family.

A toddler is clearly learning unspoken rules, facial expressions, and gestures that principally scream, “turn around and behave yourself.”

Footage from the 2022 US Open shows a then-4-year-old Olympia Ohanian wearing the enduring white beads in her hair that her mother wore in 1999 when she won her first US Open. The scene shows the infant sitting within the stands alongside her dad, Alexis Ohanian, her aunt Isha, other members of the family and, most significantly, her grandmother, Oracene Price, right behind her.

In the blink of a watch, black fans were treated to a display of old-school discipline as a restless Olympia, likely arguing along with her father, found herself met by the piercing gaze of Grandma Oracene, who every black person knows all too well.

Olympia immediately turned around, smiled sweetly, and continued eating her lollipop, not fidgeting in her seat and searching the image of a well-behaved child.

Baller Alarm caught moment from TikTok with the caption, “Every black person in America knows what just happened here,” placed at the highest.

“This baby just got checked out by grandma. Still smiling but scared to death,” one person wrote.

A second comment said, “She may be half white, but she’ll learn that she’s 100% black.”

“See how everyone around here is minding their own business??!!!!” one person commented, while others agreed: “Yeah, even her daddy didn’t want any smoke. I love us.”

Some have even tried to elucidate that look away: “I’ll tell you something, little girl, I’m not playing with you. Turn around now.”

Another person said, “Chile… that sit-up and lean forward in the seat means, ‘Do it again,’” and one other added, “Fix it before I fix it for you.”

Many have speculated about how little Olympia — now her 1-year-old sister — is being raised. Fans have often noted that Serena, having married a white man, may lean more toward his culture.

However, the 23-time Grand Slam champion can have given us a clue about her parenting style back in 2010, after her victory at Wimbledon.

When asked if she would come back in 10 years, Williams replied: According to to Essentially Sports, “I hope so, if I come. If not, I hope I’ll be somewhere, you know, relaxing. Maybe beating up some kids, who knows.”

Although it’s unclear whether he actually beats his daughters.it’s clear that grandma needed to intervene and lay down the law a couple of times… not less than within the case of the eldest daughter.

While it’s unclear how Serena and Alexis discipline their daughters, and it’s none of anyone’s business, it’s obvious that the grandmothers will at all times step in and lay down the law.

With the US Open approaching and Miss Olympia more adventurous than ever, we’ll see if the world gets one other clip of Grandma Oracene in motion — or if the infant has learned her lesson for good.
