After the thrills of Wimbledon in London (and the various celebrity appearances in between), the 2024 tennis tour will head to the United States for the ultimate stop on the Grand Slam calendar.
The US Open kicked off in New York this week, with Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka leading the way in which. We spotted just a few familiar fans within the stands to cheer on the world’s best tennis champions.
On her first day, Kerry Washington joined her mother in tight, half-up, half-down curls kissed by the Queens humidity. Her no-makeup tennis look required no embellishments beyond a red-orange lipstick (think: Wyn Beauty Matte Lipstick in subdued cayenne pepper) and a little bit of mascara.
Meanwhile, actress Danai Gurira opted for a subtle purple lipstick and smoky eyeshadow to match her Gauff-inspired pigtails.
Ballerina Misty Copeland was seen wearing a slicked-back tennis braid and matte, sweat-proof makeup: pink lipstick, dark lashes, and a powder finish.
Next up, Broadway actress Kecia Lewis-Evans twisted her locks right into a layered bun that highlighted her microbrows and sun-kissed eyeshadow. And on day three, ESPN presenter Cari Champion showed up in a black wig with extra-long lashes to wear her sporty, light pink hues.
