Betty A. Bridges, ‘Good Times’ Actress and Todd Bridges’ Mother, Dies at Age 83

Betty A. Bridges, the actress whose 40-year profession included roles in such series as “Good Times,” “ER,” “Hill Street Blues” and “Charlie’s Angels,” has died at the age of 83.

According to her representative Elizabeth Much, Bridges died at the house of her son Todd Bridges in Phoenix, where she was under hospice care. Deadline. No reason for death was given, the newspaper reported.

Betty Bridges also gained fame within the film industry, starring in movies akin to “A Night at the Roxbury,” “Rooster,” and “The Concrete Jungle,” amongst others. Her sons Todd and Jimmy Bridges wrote and directed the 2000 short film “Building Bridges,” during which she appeared.

After several years within the industry, Betty Bridges became an acting coach and a widely known Hollywood executive. She co-founded the Kane Bridge Academy, an acting school where she was a well-liked teacher, in accordance with Deadline.
