TLC recently canceled its August 23 performance on the New York State Fair attributable to health concerns for Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. The show was canceled lower than an hour before she was scheduled to perform since the artist had a “severe abdominal blockage,” in keeping with an Instagram post from event organizers.
“After an electrifying performance in Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, TLC was eagerly awaiting their next stop at the New York State Fair in Syracuse,” the statement continued. “However, shortly after arriving in Syracuse, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal cramps.”
The statement also said that the artist was examined by a physician who diagnosed him with a serious abdominal obstruction.
“The doctor confirmed that it was not food poisoning, but an abdominal obstruction. Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and sincerely apologizes to all her fans and the event organizers. The decision to cancel was made at the request of her doctor, who requested that she remain in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.”
T-Boz, 54, later shared with fans on Instagram that her condition was slowly but steadily improving.
“I’m on the right track!!! This was one of those unexpected things that I had no control over! I can’t wait to fix this for all of you… And I hope to be out of the hospital soon!!! Tomorrow if all goes well!!! Thank you for understanding… Blessings always T❤️”
T-Boz has battled quite a few health issues over time, including sickle cell anemia, which she was diagnosed with as a toddler. Watkins also had a brain tumor, which she discovered after having surgery to remove it. Despite these challenges, the singer has thrived, continuing to tour and perform along with her TLC bandmate Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
We are joyful that one in all our favourite team members is feeling higher and want her good health.
