First Look: Colman Domingo in New Thriller ‘The Madness’ – Essence

Netflix today revealed the primary photos and announced the premiere date of the highly anticipated motion series, , starring Oscar nominee Colman Domingo. The eight-episode series is ready to premiere on November 28, 2024, and guarantees an intense and gripping story centered on media expert Muncie Daniels, played by Domingo.

In Daniels, he finds himself in a desperate fight for survival after stumbling upon a murder deep in the Poconos woods. As the reality eludes him and the danger mounts, Muncie must clear his name while reconnecting together with his estranged family and rediscovering the ideals he once held dear.

“Everything about this conspiracy thriller excited me,” Domingo said. Tumdu during an interview. “He was a unique protagonist that I had never seen or experienced. Someone who has very centrist beliefs and now he’s thrown into the world to really believe in something strongly and re-examine people he thought were possible enemies. You realize you have more in common with them than you thought at first.”

The series, created by Stephen Belber and co-hosted by Belber and VJ Boyd, is directed by Clément Virgo, who also serves as executive producer. Other executive producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kaitlin Dahill. The forged includes Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham, John Ortiz, Tamsin Topolski and TJ Mixon.
