Whiting said Martina sent a message to the Reese Foundation that read, “I’m sorry, but you can’t dress up as anyone, but you are who you are. The term ‘bully’ comes to mind… come on, Caitlin.”

“He actually used his real name and email address and contacted the Angel Reese Foundation to be mean and racist,” Whiting wrote on Twitter.

Whiting also shared a screenshot of a message from an unknown person who also contained “disgusting things.”

The message read: “Black b—th you disgust me with your stupid jealous antics, let your daughter shine and (stop) teaching her jealousy to get attention! Stop being a black gutter b—th, black women look bad and stop talking about cc, she got that swag, she’s a game changer, be happy your daughter got a chance to play W!! Because if it wasn’t for cc no one would know you have a low GPA for having a daughter.”

Both of those people have shown that they’re fans of Caitlin Clark,” Whiting wrote on X.

“William Martina is the CEO of the company, but he took the time to racially intimidate and harass a young black woman. Mama Angel said they get these types of emails and text messages every week,” she continued.

The GPA comment was in reference to allegations that Reese had a 2.0 GPA from Kia Brooks, the mother of her former teammate and good friend Flau’jae Johnson. Despite all of that, Reese still graduated in May.

Whiting also noted the negative racial backlash Clark has faced over the past few years as she has been within the national highlight.

However, she shared the post to attract attention to the “extreme nature” of things Reese often encounters.

“Please note that I realize that Caitlin Clark has also faced racial hate. And some of that has come from Angel Reese fans, but this post is about the extreme nature of what Angel Reese is going through.”

Some fans compared the quantity of hate that was rained on Clark and Reese.

“I honestly don’t think that comparison is even close. Most of what Caitlin mentioned on the other side is white privilege” one person argued in case X.

“I understand what you’re saying, but I disagree. No one brought the CC race into the game, it was the CC fans. The CC fans brought the race in to undermine Angel Reese, because they knew it was wrong to attack her after the “you see me” moment” one other person Underlined.

Reese’s mother has spoken out on her daughter’s behalf prior to now.

In May, she got here to her daughter’s defense when the WNBA rookie was criticized for a later-deleted post with an X in it celebrating Chicago’s win over the New York Liberty, According to to the New York Post.

Many believed that when Angel wrote, “And this is about winning in a crowded place, not just with one player on our charter flight,” she was attacking her former basketball rival.

Her mother has made it clear that Reese’s family’s issues are with the media, not Clark.

“She wasn’t attacking CC, but because you and the rest of these ‘children of the corn’ thought she was and kept sending her racist and disgusting comments, she did. Her comment was aimed at the media, but of course you’re all about the clicks,” Whiting wrote on X on the time.

Despite the criticism Reese has faced, she has continued to shine on the basketball court. On July 10, she recorded her 14th consecutive double-double, a WNBA record.
