Actress Stacey Dash recently drew attention to the condition of her skin after sharing a video on social media during which she talks about her skincare routine.

While most comments praised her radiant complexion and timeless beauty, one viewer asked in regards to the visible change in her skin tone, which contributed to long-standing rumors that she had lightened her skin.

IN 15 second videoThe “Clueless” star kept a smile on her face as she demonstrated using a flat silver Gua Sha stone, gently rubbing it across her face to showcase the advantages of the cooling tool.

Fans flocked to the comments section, showering the 57-year-old with compliments on her youthful appearance. “That’s why you look so good,” one admirer commented, while others chimed in with praise comparable to, “Your face is flawless,” “So beautiful,” and calling her complexion “perfect.”

Another fan noted: “You seriously don’t age!! Beautiful.”

One comment took a humorous turn when a fan joked, “She’s 60 and I’m still gonna get pregnant,” to which Dash corrected her age. The fan, excited by the interaction, replied that he had just “charmed” the star, using a term meaning “charmed” or “flirting.”

However, things modified when a TikTok user brought up her complexion, suggesting that she had undergone some cosmetic procedure to make her skin lighter than it naturally is.

“How did you become white?” the person asked. “I thought you were dark skinned.. No shade!”

Dash responded with grace and poise, “No, I’ve never had dark skin. I’m Mexican and black. I just lived in the sun when I was younger.” She added, “Thanks for being nice.”

This isn’t the primary time Dash has faced such accusations. In October 2023, after participating within the “No Makeup Challenge,” one in all her followers noted that she remembered being “darker” up to now.

“Looks great. Can’t lie even though it’s a completely different color now,” one person commented, while one other joked: “How about a no bleach challenge?”

Again, within the spring of 2024, when Dash shared exercise videos, fans waxed nostalgic in regards to the “old Stacey”, accusing her of trying to “bleach (her) melanin” and calling her an “Ambi cream ambassador”, referring to the famous skin whitening product from the Seventies.

Despite her polite denials and constant assurances that she has not modified her skin tone, the rumors persist.

Rumors in regards to the woman’s skin bleaching were further fueled by her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Prophet, who claimed in 2016 that the lady had bleached her skin.

However, Stacey Dash has never directly addressed the skin bleaching allegations. Instead, she stands firm in her pride in her black and Mexican heritage, reminding critics that blackness just isn’t a monolith.

Dash’s alleged white skin is greater than just the colour of her skin.

Some have even cited her past relationships and political affiliations, accusing Damon Dash’s cousin, who once supported the Republican Party and was married to 4 white men — Jeffrey Marty, Brian Lovell, James Maby and Emmanuel Xuereb — of trying to assimilate into white culture.

Many argue that she only re-entered the black community, appearing on shows like BET’s “College Hill: The Celebrity Edition,” after losing her position as a MAGA media darling on platforms like FOX News.

She apologized for her behavior as a conservative commentator.

“There are things I regret,” she said. he said DailyMailTV. “The things I said that I shouldn’t have said in the way that I did. They were very arrogant and proud and angry. And that’s what Stacey was, but that’s not who she is now.”

Now she declares on social media that she is a lady of mixed African descent.

This latest statement about her Black identity on College Hill: The Celebrity Edition became apparent during her appearance on the favored show broadcast on BET+, where Dash acknowledged her connection to her racial identity despite her conservative views.

Many were shocked that she was considered for a series set on the campus of Texas Southern University.

Showrunner Tracey Edmonds questioned the producers’ logic in casting her, saying her unique beliefs and past make her the proper candidate for the show.

“Stacey clearly came from a conservative background,” Edmonds said during interview from Money Making Conversations. “You know, she had a background as a Fox News host. She was very outspoken about some of her thoughts about, you know, black culture, so we thought it would be really interesting for someone who came from a conservative perspective to attend an HBCU.”

According to Edmonds, “An HBCU can really open eyes and change perspectives on the black experience.”

Edmond said they hoped Dash would “broaden her perspective in a positive direction” about black culture and the African-American experience by attending the college and going through the method.

Dash was reluctant to achieve this and left the show after appearing in just three episodes.

The experience, which included African-American studies classes and meeting classmates who included Big Freedia, an openly gay black man who wore women’s clothing, can have been an excessive amount of for her.

However, the precise reason was never given.
