Music Icon Janet Jackson Announces Brand New Las Vegas Residency – Essence

Today, the Grammy Award-winning musician announced her Las Vegas residency and debut at Resorts World Theatre. The concert series kicks off Dec. 30 and features a special show on New Year’s Eve, in addition to eight additional shows through 2025.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Resorts World Las Vegas resort to kick off New Year’s week!” Jackson he wrote on Instagram. “This is going to be so much fun and I can’t wait to ring in the New Year with you!! We really can’t wait! Sending you lots of love ♥️ -J.”

The residency marks five years since Jackson’s previous Vegas residency, Metamorphosis — which was met with rave reviews throughout its 18-date run — and the superstar is seeking to recreate that magic fresh off her wildly successful Together Again tour.

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” said Bobby Reynolds, Senior Vice President, AEG Presents Las Vegas. “We couldn’t be more excited to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip, debuting at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre, and kick off 2025 with a series of unforgettable performances.
