Jennifer Lopez Called Malicious For Dropping Divorce Bombshell On Ben Affleck After He Spent Weekend With Ex

Jennifer Lopez, 55, and Ben Affleck’s, 52, marriage was falling apart before the eyes of fans, but has now come to an entire halt because the singer has officially filed for divorce.

On August 20, the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” artist filed divorce papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court. That day also marked the second anniversary of JLo and Affleck’s traditional Georgia wedding.

The “Gigli” stars were originally set to have an intimate wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. Sources said TMZ that Lopez and Affleck didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement. The outlet identified that any money earned during their marriage is joint property.

According to sources, hours before JLo filed for divorce, Affleck met together with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

According to Daily mailBen Affleck, sans wedding ring, was photographed arriving in Los Angeles together with his longtime co-star on August 20. The former couple reportedly traveled together from New Haven, Connecticut, after dropping off their 18-year-old daughter, Violet Anne Affleck, at Yale University.

Affleck was married to Garner from 2005 to 2018, after the 2 actors became friends while filming Pearl Harbor and Daredevil. They have two other children together, a daughter, Seraphina Affleck, and a son, Samuel.

“I think he loved Jennifer G. But he ruined it and she had enough. JLo saw an opportunity and Ben needed someone. It was never meant to last, but he seems to be having a good time with JG and the family,” a Daily News commenter wrote in response to photos of Affleck and Garner together.

Another person focused on the chance that Affleck is seeking to reconnect together with his ex. The commenter wrote, “You never know how good you had it until it’s gone. Of course he was good with JG.”

Earlier, there was some discussion amongst Marvel superhero movie fanatics on Channel X about whether Lopez could have played a task in Ben Affleck not appearing within the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine.

Affleck played the title character within the 2003 film Daredevil. In Deadpool & Wolverine, Jennifer Garner reprised her role as Elektra Natchios from Daredevil and Elektra in 2005.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first dated within the early 2000s. Known within the press on the time by their shared nickname “Bennifer,” the celebrities got engaged in November 2002, then called off their engagement in January 2004. They got back together in April 2021.

Jennifer Lopez has also been romantically linked to hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, dancer Chris Judd, dancer Beau “Casper” Smart and former Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez. The “I’m Real” singer has fraternal twins, 16-year-old Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

She ended her two-year engagement to Rodriguez just weeks before reuniting with Affleck.

After divorcing Garner in 2018, Ben Affleck was in an on-again, off-again relationship with New York television producer Lindsay Shookus from 2017 to 2019. He also dated Cuban actress Ana de Armas from 2020 to 2021. This is his second divorce.

This is Lopez’s fourth divorce, following failed marriages to Anthony, in addition to to dancer Chris Judd from 2001 to 2009 and Cuban actor-producer Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998.
