‘Clueless’ Actress Alicia Silverstone Opens Up About Her Health After Fans Spot Her Eating Strange Fruit Found On The Street

Social media has posted an APB on actress Alicia Silverstone. The “Clueless” star has fans claiming she’s living as much as her hit movie’s name after eating a chunk of food that some consider is poisonous.

The alarm got here after people waited for hours to see her again on social media and reassure her she was okay after she ate a mystery fruit while walking the streets of London.

On August 19, Silverstone, 47, posted video herself trying a small bite on TikTok and asking her followers to assist her discover what she’s eating.

“Okay, I discovered something and I can’t figure out what it is. I need your help,” she tells her followers within the 38-second clip.

“I just bit it because I was on the street and we were discussing whether it was a tomato or not,” the San Francisco resident continued, turning the camera toward the plant. “It’s definitely not that, because look at these leaves. These are leaves.”

The Golden Globe-nominated actress picked the fruit from a bush growing behind a wrought-iron gate she saw while walking across the English city.

Silverstone asked, “What the hell is that? Because when you open it up, it looks like this,” and moved the camera to the bottom after unintentionally dropping one.

Then she tells herself she probably shouldn’t eat it, but she does it anyway, taking a small bite and comparing the taste to bell peppers.

While some fans on her TikTok page and X platform tried to discover the plant, speculating it might be the poisonous Jerusalem cherry or “pepper tree,” others wondered why she was eating it in any respect.

“Eating random things out of the bushes when you don’t know what it is is a level of fearlessness I can only aspire to,” one person sarcastically stated he wrote. Another joked: “She clearly has no idea.”

Other social media users expressed concerns about her health.

More people joined in on this alarming news, writing“Definitely needs an update, could be disastrous.”

Someone else he wrote in X: “It’s already 9pm in England, a whole day has passed with no news about Alicia Silverstone after she ate a poisonous object from over someone’s front garden fence in London.”

The one who posted the clip on social media acted like an unauthorized botanist and identified the plant as a Jerusalem cherry, providing a photograph and detailed information that said “consumption of the berries is fatal to humans and pets.”

Northern New England Poison Center also says the plant is “harmful to consume.”

According to the NNEPC, consuming small amounts of berries or leaves may cause symptoms reminiscent of nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, while consuming larger amounts may result in drowsiness, hallucinations, or heart rhythm disturbances.

Pediatrician Medical Group next excellent that the plant could also be toxic to children and animals.

“The primary poison is the alkaloid solanocapsin, which can cause stomach upset and vomiting in humans but is generally not life-threatening,” the web site says. “However, the fruit is extremely toxic to dogs, cats, and some birds. The fruit resembles cherry tomatoes in both appearance and taste, so children and pets can eat so many that they become ill and, in the case of pets, even die.”

These sources don’t confirm user X’s comments concerning the deadly threat posed by this plant.

The one who posted the post stated that he was a journalist and that he had contacted Silverstone representatives for an update.

“As a journalist of considerable influence, I have contacted her representatives to find out if she is still alive. I cannot wait for my Pulitzer,” he joked, adding that he has he heard “nothing” out of your contacts.

Luckily for fans, Alicia Silverstone eventually resurfaced on social media with an update for fans. On August twentieth at around 10pm local time in London, Silverstone posted a tweet that read, “I’m alive and well! Don’t worry… I didn’t swallow it.”
