Garcelle Beauvais says she accidentally spent $6,000 on dating apps and still hasn’t gotten a date
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais has long been considered some of the stunning women in Hollywood. Despite her success in modeling and acting, the Haitian beauty has faced challenges in her personal life, especially within the dating world.
After two divorces, Beauvais still seems to have hope for love. In an interview this week on “Good Morning America,” opened shares the costly mistake she made when searching for love on a dating app.
The former Ford model revealed she spent a staggering $6,000 on a dating app that she described as “disastrous.” The app, which she initially didn’t name, allegedly charged her a hefty weekly fee.
“I signed up for this app and you had to pay for it, and it was a lot of money a week,” Beauvais explained. “I thought, ‘I don’t feel comfortable paying to meet a man.’ So I turned the app off. And months later, I was sitting on my phone and I haven’t deleted the app.”
The fees amassed over time, eventually reaching a four-figure sum.
“And by the way, I didn’t meet a single person,” she complained. “It was awful. I mean, it was just devastating. So definitely turn off the app.”
The 57-year-old’s story quickly sparked reactions from fans who shared their thoughts on her costly accident.
“Struggle out these accusations, sis!!!” advised one person. Another joked: “Well, they definitely kicked the broke guys off that app.”
Others chimed in with practical advice, urging her to observe her recurring payments more closely. “End your subscription, deleting the app doesn’t stop your subscription,” one other person noted.
Beauvais has spoken out about dating apps before. In a previous interview this month on Sirius XM, she went into more detail, revealing that Bethenny Frankel advisable a dating app to her called The League, known for its high-profile clientele that features CEOs.

“So I signed up and paid about $399 a week,” she recalls, estimating that the fees amassed over six to eight months.
Her teenage son, Jax, eventually helped her cancel her subscription.
“Mom, why do you have so many things you pay for… A dating app?” he asked, surprised by the fee.
The league, known for catering to “discerning, busy” professionals, offers different tiers of membership. According to its website, a Member subscription costs $299.99 monthly, while Owner and Investor subscriptions cost $399.99 and $999.99 monthly, respectively. The prices differ from what the actress suggested.
Beauvais’ story shows that even Hollywood stars aren’t resistant to the pitfalls of online dating, especially relating to managing subscriptions.
Some fans expressed surprise at the choice to share the story publicly, with considered one of them commenting“I love her, but I would keep that story to myself.”
“It can’t be me,” said one other one. he said“My card would be declined in the second month.”
Others said that her friend Skinny Girl would should pay her back money.
The irony of her situation is that Beauvais has a history of high-profile relationships, including rumored flings with Will Smith, Michael Jordan and Sean Penn. You would think she would haven’t any problem dating a man.
Still, single life comes naturally to her and has been a recurring theme in Beauvais’s storyline on RHOBH.
Since joining the show in 2020, she’s been open about her struggles with dating and her experiences as a single mother. In one episode, she even competed with castmate Sutton Stracke for the eye of a guest chef while the women were vacationing in Spain.
Just recently, she was spotted with Vaughn W. Hebron, which made people wonder if she was dating the 33-year-old or simply filming a movie with him.
It’s unknown if this was real or simply something fans wanted. Either way, it seems she’s still single.
Despite her beauty and fame, evidently Beauvais, like many others, is still searching for love in a world stuffed with challenges.
