Jewell Loyd Olympic Diary: “Two gold medals. No one can take that away from me.”

PARIS — Seattle Storm point guard Jewell Loyd, a two-time WNBA champion and six-time WNBA All-Star, was the newest player to share her insights into life on and off the court via a video diary with Andscape through the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal and former G League Ignite forward Ron Holland participated in a month-long video and diary for the 2023-24 season. Previous diaries have featured NBA players Draymond Green, Vince Carter, Trae Young, CJ McCollum, Fred VanVleet, De’Aaron Fox, Cade Cunningham, James Wiseman and Josh Jackson.

In Part 5 of her video diary, Loyd recaps her Olympic experience, talking in regards to the stress of Team USA’s gold medal game against France and the enjoyment of winning the gold medal in front of her family (0:45), the challenges of playing against France in Paris and analyzing French player Gabby Williams’ final shot (2:06), quickly rewinding to the WNBA season after the Olympics (3:22), the sensation of winning two gold medals (4:10), the sensation of coming home to Seattle (5:52) and why she desired to keep an Olympic diary (6:13).
