Tennis champion Serena Williams recently celebrated her youngest daughter’s first birthday with a series of emotional posts on social media.

The photos are simply breathtaking and beautifully styled. The first set of photos shows the four-time Olympic gold medalist alone, proudly showing off her baby bump.

She signed it with love fasting“One year ago today – August 15th – I gave birth to my second daughter, Adira River Ohanian. She is a true light. Here’s a peek inside my maternity shoot.”She also tagged what appears to be an Instagram page dedicated solely to Adira’s stuff, similar to her first daughter did.

In the opposite two posts, Serena was accompanied by her family, including husband Alexis Ohanian and their 6-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian.

In one fastingSerena shared a thoughtful evaluation of her youngest daughter’s name, writing, “Adira is a girl’s name of Hebrew origin that means “mighty,” “strong,” and “majestic.”

She continued: “This elegant name is popular in lots of cultures world wide. Adira is the female form of the classic name Adir. It is a biblical name, meaning ‘Strong.’

Third fasting shines a highlight on her older daughter as she begins her journey as a big sister. Serena said, “Olympia is always there for me. Before I had my second child, I always wondered, ‘How could I love anything as much as I love @olympiaohanian“Then Adira came along.”

“She is so special, so funny, so funny, so loving, so sweet and so strong!!!” she explained. “You see, God makes your heart grow bigger. Because my love for Olympia has not faded. My heart is simply twice as big now and I have a greater capacity to love more!”

However, fans couldn’t help but notice that little Adira, who just turned one year old, is missing from the photos.

Followers quickly took to the comments section to precise their curiosity, with one asking: “Where is Adira?” Another chimed in: “Where is the little one? I’m sitting here just as confused?”

A 3rd fan added: “I love these pictures. You and Baby girl are beautiful, but can we see the birthday girl?”

And another person thought, “It’s Adira’s birthday and we have photos of Olimpia.”

The youngest of the Williams family was also missing in motion in photos from their recent family trips to New Orleans and Paris for the 2024 Olympics. However, discussing the incident on the restaurant, Serena noted that she was with her “kids.”

However, a wave of recent comments have prompted some fans to intervene and defend Serena’s decision not to post photos of Adira until she is prepared.

One person noted, “These comments are definitely weird,” while adding, “She doesn’t need to show her baby here. Either way, happy birthday to Adira. What a blessing.”

While Serena didn’t explain why she decided not to share latest photos of Adira with her 17.3 million followers, it wasn’t the primary time the world had a glimpse of her toddler.

Adira’s father before published family photo from the day Adira was born in 2023. The photo, which has garnered over 249,000 likes, showed Serena without makeup, older sister Olympia posing for a photo and Alexis Sr. tenderly holding Adira, whose face was barely covered.

The family was radiating happiness within the photo, with Serena and Olympia wearing pink as they celebrated the birth of one other baby girl. But Serena’s journey thus far has had its ups and downs.

Many fans will remember the child’s gender reveal party, which took place a few weeks before Adira was born. Some observers thought Serena, who was expecting a boy, briefly showed disappointment when the smoke announced the child was a girl.

But that feeling of disappointment didn’t last long. When Adira arrived, Serena’s heart crammed with love.

Adira has already made her mark because the daughter of a tennis legend and a tech innovator. Like her older sister, she is a component of history — her parents invested in her name two sports teams, making her the youngest person to own one.

Serena’s posts exude the immense love she feels for each of her daughters, confirming that the choice to maintain certain moments private is for private reasons and not a preference for one child or one other.
