The Brooklyn-born actress, who rose to fame for her role as Brandi in John Singleton’s cult classic “Boys n the Hood,” became an icon for a complete generation without even realizing it on the time.

In a 2018 interview with TV One, Long opened up about what it was wish to have so many men courting her in her 20s.

“I was the hot girl back then. Everyone was calling me on the phone,” she recalled.

The ‘Love Jones’ star shared a very memorable story about how one guy did all the things he could to get her attention.

“One guy,” Long laughed. “I won’t mention names. But I had one guy… The doorbell rings at 4:00 in the morning, and there’s a beautiful box of diamond earrings that had been flown in on a private jet, delivered in the middle of the night,” she recalled.

As her fame grew, the actress began to grasp the “overwhelming” nature of her newfound status.

“Now I’m kind of famous, you know. People are starting to know my name. My name was in rap songs,” she said, adding, “I was like, ‘What’s going on? Why are they writing songs with my name on them?'”

The “Roxanne Roxanne” actress has been mentioned in greater than 20 rap songs, including J. Cole’s “No Role Modelz,” by which she raps, “My only regret is that I was too young for Nia Long.”

Clip from interviewrecently shared on TikTok, amazed fans with how much effort the lads put in to get Long’s attention.

“Diamond earrings flying at you???? Oh yeah. She was that girl,” one fan commented.

Another compared Long’s story to a scene from an Eddie Murphy movie: “Like Lisa McDowell in ‘The Prince of New York’ – Prince Akeem had those earrings and her sister had to sign for them. Lol I know it’s true Nia!”

Some fans speculated about who could have sent the jewels, throwing out names like Prince, actors Robert De Niro and Chris Webber, and even comparing the gesture to something Floyd Mayweather could do in 2024.

Meanwhile, other commenters lamented how the lads’s efforts have modified over time. Despite the admiration, among the comments focused on Long’s recent split from Ime Udoka, her ex-fiancé and the daddy of her son.

Their 13-year relationship ended amid Udoka’s public cheating scandal, which led to his suspension and eventual firing as Boston Celtics coach in 2022.

Fans were quick to precise disbelief at Udoka’s actions.

“I can’t understand how this guy cheated on her… You won’t find a better one than Nia Long,” considered one of them said.

The “Best Man” actress recently took to Instagram to share photos from her tropical vacation, looking radiant in an elegant black one-piece, designer sunglasses, and a beach hat. Fans couldn’t help but notice the 2 coconut drinks and cups next to her within the photo, suggesting she wasn’t alone.

“Who took the photo?” one person asked. After nearly two years of coping with the scandal in the general public eye, that is the primary time fans have hope that somebody is making her joyful.

Although the identity of her companion stays a mystery and nobody knows about her, one thing is obviously – Miss Nia Long remains to be the “top girl”.
