Beyoncé and Shaboozey Among Nominees for 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards

Beyoncé, Shaboozey and Kane Brown are taking the country music genre by storm, earning multiple nominations for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.

Queen Bey has been nominated for the 2023 People’s Artist, 2023 Female Artist and 2023 Country Party Star awards, the PCCA announced on Wednesday. And! NewsHer song “Texas Hold ‘Em” was nominated for Song of the Year, and her single “16 Carriages” was nominated for Storytelling Song of 2024 and Female Song of 2024.

Beyoncé’s nominations don’t stop there. Her song “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus was nominated for Crossover Song of 2023, and her track “Blackbiird” — which features black country singers Brittney Spencer, Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy and Reyna Roberts — was nominated for Cover Song of 2024, as was her cover of Dolly Parton’s hit “Jolene.” Beyoncé’s breakthrough country album Cowboy Carter was nominated for Album of 2023.

She has some stiff competition, though: She’ll should go up against Shaboozey, who appears on her album “Cowboy Carter.” The 29-year-old country star — who had a breakout 12 months with the discharge of her single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” — can be nominated for Album of the Year for her record “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going” and Song of the Year for “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

Shaboozey’s other nominations include New Artist of 2023, New Artist Song of 2024 and Male Song of 2024 for “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, Crossover Song of 2023 for “My Fault” featuring Noah Cyrus and Music Video of 2023 for “Let It Burn”.

Another black artist nominated for awards is Kane Brown, who has been nominated for People’s Artist of 2023 and Male Artist of 2023. The country singer, who’s the son of a white mother and a black father, received nominations for Male Song of 2024 for his song “I Can Feel It,” in addition to Crossover Song of 2023, Music Video of 2023 and Song of the Year for his song with Marshmello, “Miles On It.”

The People’s Choice Country Awards will air live to tell the tale NBC and Peacock from The Grande Ole Opry in Nashville on Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 p.m.
