‘Y’all Don’t Know What He’s Really Like’: Deion Sanders’ Sons Reveal Shocking Crime He Committed to Teach Them Humility
The stories about Deion Sanders being stingy proceed to pile up. Days after Deion Sanders Jr. revealed that his mother didn’t have much money after their divorce and that he wore costume jewelry to sell a fake lifestyle, his brothers at the moment are sharing their very own horror stories about coping with their “cheap” father.
Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Sanders’ fourth child has released the primary episode of his recent podcast, “2Legendary”, at the tip of July.
On Aug. 6, Shedeur was joined by his brothers Shilo and Deion Sanders Jr. for the second episode of the show. The Sanders brothers discussed a big selection of topics throughout the nearly hour-long meeting, including sharing their “strange dad story,” certainly one of the interesting tactics their father used to help them stay grounded.
“When I was younger, he didn’t just say, ‘I have $10,000,’” Shedeur said, recalling a time when his father tried to teach him and his older brother Shilo the worth of a dollar.
“He tried to give us $40 to go to the mall, man,” Shilo interjected.
“And we shared that at Zumiez,” Shedeur added.
This prompted the brothers to reminisce, during which they shared a really interesting lesson about money that their father had taught them.
“And then we fought over a hundred dollars,” Shilo noted, before recounting how he and Shedeur argued over who would hold the $100 bill while they shopped on the mall. “And then he said, ‘Bring it here!’”
“Dude, he just committed a crime,” Shedeur said, as Shilo continued, “We gave him $100 and he tore it in half and gave it to both of us, dude!”
“Give me 50, give me 50,” Shedeur said, imitating his father handing each brother half of a $100 bill.
“You really don’t know what he’s like!” Shilo added.
Shedeur and Shilo’s statement seemed to refute the concept that the Sanders brothers grew up in warped perspective when it comes to money. Although their father had already made tens of millions of dollars in sports contracts when his children were born, his brother’s comments suggest he has instilled some useful lessons in his children.
Shilo admitted that the Sanders children enjoyed an overall good lifestyle once they were younger, but they are saying their childhood was removed from the real-life version of “The Cosby Show.”
“We grew up in nice housebut we weren’t raised the best way you think that, there are not any Huxtables,” Shilo said.
“Dad is different,” added Sanders Jr., also often known as Bucky. Bucky also recalled times when his father would deny him something he wanted.
“What’s the story about your stingy dad?” Shilo asked his older brother.
“He just said, ‘Ask your mom,’ and my mom said, ‘Ask your dad,'” Bucky said. “He said no to everything. The only time he’d give me money was when I’d say it’s like spring break, I’m going to Miami… he’d give it to me. When I was in college, when I was at SMU… he’d give me like $500 or something.”
Bucky was born in 1993 to Deion and his ex-wife Carolyne Chambers. Deion and Carolyne even have a daughter, Deion’s older sister, Deiondra, 32. Deion and Carolyne separated in 1998, and in 1999 he married Pilar Biggers. Deion and Pilar Biggers-Sanders have three children: Shilo, 24; Shedeur, 22; and a daughter, Shelomi, 20. The couple separated in 2013.
Shedeur is some of the well-known athletes in college football, and he discovered how to amass his own wealth. During and after his first season because the University of Colorado quarterback, he earned tens of millions of dollars in name, image, and likeness (NIL) dollars.
