Snoop Dogg opens marijuana shop ‘SWED’ in Amsterdam

Snoop Dogg has been busy this summer. The rapper, actor, creator, and talk show host is currently moonlighting as an NBC News correspondent for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

DO double G, took a break from life in the City of Love announce his the newest business enterprise. The rap legend is bringing his brand Smoke Weed Every Day (SWED) to Amsterdam.

The two-story venue is a coffee shop offering a wide selection of THC-infused products.

In addition, the shop will offer exclusive varieties of smoking products, edibles, and other cannabis accessories.

“Amsterdam has always accepted marijuana, and so have I,” he said. the megastar said in a press release. “It’s only right that I bring SWED global to this iconic city that understands the joy of good cannabis and good fun.”

SWED is situated in the guts of the town on Marnixstraat. This prime location is understood for its tourist attractions and vibrant nightlife.

There can be a lounge area on the bottom floor where customers will have the ability to socialize and make purchases.

“Drop It Like It’s Hot” Rapper opened its first SWED store in Los Angeles in July 2024. Located on W. Centinela Ave, near LAX airport, the dispensary offers quite a lot of cannabis strains, edibles, topicals, and accessories. It also provides delivery services to those living in the greater Los Angeles area.

In 2023, Snoop Dogg founded Death Row Cannabis with fellow rapper Berber. Death Row Cannabis offers a product line dedicated to the late rapper 2Pac. According to the “Gin and Juice” rapper, it was 2Pac who gave him his first blunt.

“That first blunt started a deep friendship” Snoop said in a 2023 press release. “We will always have his music, but this is another way I can convey what was important to 2Pac to his fans.”

SWED Amsterdam will officially open to the general public on 1 August 2024.
