Singer Omarion and TV personality Apryl Jones at the moment are parents to a 10-year-old. The family just celebrated their son Mega’s 10th birthday with a birthday celebration.

Jones shared a video on Instagram from his basketball-themed birthday celebration.

“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since you came into our lives, I remember it like it was yesterday… Megaa you are the most beautiful son two parents could ever wish for. Happy birthday Bub Bub August 7th!” she wrote within the caption.

Jones and Omarion have come a great distance in co-parenting, as they hosted separate birthday parties for his or her children years ago. The former couple dated from 2013 to 2016, and fans saw glimpses of their relationship during their appearances on Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. They split shortly after the birth of their second child, A’mei, in 2016. For years, it was unclear why the seemingly pleased couple split, with Jones later revealing that the singer had unexpectedly broken up together with her and that they weren’t talking. However, there seemed to be hopes of a reconciliation in 2022.

Asked about their co-parenting on the time, Omarion, who is generally quiet about their relationship, said, “We’re still in a state of transition. Like I said, I’m the type of person who likes to leave room for new ideas, different methods. I’m all for that. But we’re in a state of transition right now.”

In August 2023, the artists took their first family trip to Disney World, their first public joint childcare trip since their split.

Earlier that 12 months in March, Omarion shared positive news about their co-parenting on Sway’s radio show.

“I will say that at this particular point, we’re moving toward a better relationship for the kids. It’s all good; it was just something we got through. I think as long as respect is valued and appreciated within the patchwork family, I think you can get through almost anything,” he said.
