Is coming to Switch On September 26, that is where the ceremony of presenting the title princess will happen. long awaited primary role. However, it looks like you will not be playing solely as Zelda, despite her being the primary character. According to the sport’s ESRB rating, Link will be playable for at the very least a part of the sport.

has received a rating of E10+.. The description reveals some gameplay details, discussing some things we’ve already seen, like Zelda’s use of magic to summon creatures, but it surely also mentions that players will use a sword and arrows to fight “as Link.” That’s probably not how Nintendo hoped people would discover, but at the very least the ESRB doesn’t provide any real context about how much of the sport you’ll be playing as Link. The opening moments of the reveal trailer show that there’ll be a moment where Zelda gets trapped, and it looks like there’s a playable segment where Link has to save her, so it’s entirely possible that the sport starts with Link because the protagonist, only to switch perspectives after the primary level. The full description reads as follows:

“This is an adventure game in which players take on the role of Zelda as she attempts to dispel the rifts throughout Hyrule and rescue Link. From a ¾-overhead perspective, players explore various environments while battling stylized enemies (e.g. humans, creatures). As Link, players use a sword and arrows to defeat enemies; Zelda can use a magic wand to summon creatures (e.g. clockwork knights, pig soldiers, slimes) into battle. Some enemies can be defeated by setting them on fire; other creatures dissolve into mist when defeated. Battle sequences are somewhat hectic, with multiple enemies attacking/fighting at once.”

Some speculate that this might be a change between Link and Zelda throughout the sport, as Link disappears right into a dark rift that encompasses a part of Hyrule, and can have his own journey happening in tandem with the above-ground a part of Zelda. But either way, it seems like Link will be playable for at the very least a part of the brand new game. While we will only speculate on what role Link will play, we may speculate on things like where the story takes place in timeline. Some fans have already got some ideas based on the clues in the trailer.
