Shaboozey is officially the #1 artist within the country.

The country singer’s single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The song, which is an interpolation of J-Kwon’s 2004 hit “Tipsy,” is “the first song by a black artist to simultaneously top both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts,” in accordance with Diversity.

Shaboozey joins Beyoncé as a chart-topper as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” displaces Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” at No. 1 on the Hot Country Singles chart. It’s the primary time in history that two black artists have held back-to-back No. 1 and chart-topping singles, in accordance with Notice board.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the lead single from Shaboozey’s album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, which he told Billboard magazine was “a little bit of that genre that even ‘Cowboy Carter’ did, just a little bit of everything. A lot of country, but also some hip-hop moments. But a lot of my personal story and journey.”

“Everybody works at the same time and in different rooms, and I came in a few days and recorded a few parts. (Beyoncé) heard them later and liked them,” Shaboozey said on the time. “It’s cool that you don’t know until the last minute whether your part got in or not. We waited until 9 p.m. Pacific time (the day the album dropped) to find out if we made it.”
