‘Meet the Browns’ star Tamela Mann shows off her drastic transformation in a new viral clip

Gospel singer Tamela Mann began her weight reduction journey a few years ago, but she didn’t let her busy work schedule or knee substitute get in the way.

The Grammy nominee’s journey began when she became a Weight Watchers ambassador in 2019, and inside months I lost 40 kilos. She has been working on her weight reduction goals with her husband David Mann for a few years. But she surprised everyone when she showed off a slimmer figure than in previous years on the cover of her 2021 album “Overcomer.”

Mann stuck to her fitness goals and healthier eating, and fans today say she’s never looked higher.

Following the release of her new single, “Working for Me,” she shared a behind-the-scenes photo from her cover shoot.

The 58-year-old shared a short video on her joint Instagram page with her husband. You can see her on it dressed in a red-hot flaming dress with red and black sequins that fell at her feet as she stood on the podium. She wore matching red earrings and a black long wig with curls.

Fans in her comments immediately noticed how slim she was, pointing on to her waist.

“Come on waist!!!” wrote one person, while one other said: “The shape is definitely impressive (hourglass emoji).”

A 3rd said: “Auntie always had shape. Yes, wear that dress for me.”

However, not everyone was impressed with the singer’s outfit as she performed her song “Take Me to the King,” with one person suggesting the outfit was inappropriate for somebody who holds such a large influence in the gospel world.

“I love her voice, but they could have provided a looser dress. She’s a gospel singer,” they wrote.

Meanwhile, her niece Gospel and daughter Karen Clark Sheard gave Mann her seal of approval. Kierra Sheard added: “Aunt Tam, that shape is baaaaaaddd honey!! You’re sooo cute!!!”

One final follower wrote: “Mrs. Tamela, forgive my prestige, but with every post I see in your profile you look healthier and more beautiful.

It’s easy to get inspired by her IG feed, as many individuals have noticed that she’s losing a few pounds with each post. She often shares fashion shows that she wears for curvy women like her, in addition to footage from her performances, like last yr’s Kirk Franklin “Reunion Tour.”

When Mann spoke with Atlanta Black Star in 2021, she said that working on the “Overcomer” album was much different than her previous work.

“I have been struggling with my knee for the last five or six years. I had to undergo knee surgery, but before the surgery I only worked with pain, but many people didn’t know what it was,” she said. “I just kept a poker face.”

Mann said that when she began prioritizing her “health and wellness,” she bounced back from two knee surgeries, all while going through menopause.

“Getting old at 50 and coping with that was something different for me and my family. And I do know that is one thing that is not likely talked about in our community, you recognize. It’s such as you hear about people going through a change, but we do not really discuss what that change is,” she continued.

“And it’s a really serious thing, even for you as a person emotionally, but even for your family that you have to deal with, and actually kind of deal with you – get through this because, believe me, it’s not fun thing. I cried and everything.”
