Former President Donald Trump says “The Apprentice” star Omarosa Maginault’s short stint as a member of his cabinet was pathetic.

The reality TV maverick-turned-politician has published a scathing account of his thoughts on the Howard University alum in a latest book, “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” written by Variety co-editor Ramin-in-Chief Setoodeh.

Omarosa first appeared on television in 2004 as a nefarious contestant vying for a $250,000 contract to manage one of the businessman’s estates. She lasted nine weeks before Trump told her “you’re fired” at a board meeting.

She then reappeared on its spin-offs “The Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Ultimate Merger.” Trump thought her “evil” personality could be good for rankings, and they eventually developed a bond. During his first presidential campaign, Omarosa worked as director of African American outreach.

When Trump was elected president in 2016, he took her to the nation’s capital, where she served as assistant to the president and director of the Office of Public Liaison. She held the position for lower than a 12 months before being fired in December 2017, although she has long maintained that she decided to step down on her own terms.

A anxious Trump told Setoodeh that he “very rarely saw her in the White House” before she left. He added that “The White House is a very big place! They’re actually buildings. But people in Washington hated her.”

Trump went on to share about “her personality” and the undeniable fact that “she was late all the time. She didn’t want to show up” were aspects that contributed to others’ contempt for Maginault.

According to a recently convicted criminal, he “tried to rehabilitate her reputation as an experiment. And when I did that, I said, “This probably won’t work out, but let’s see what happens.” I also said… “When you get fired, you always have to pay for it.” Real shame. She didn’t cut the mustard in the White House.”

“I helped her get a job at the White House because she begged me to help nurse her back to health. So I assumed, why not? I put it up,” the presumptive Republican presidential candidate revealed. “When we hired her, I told people, ‘When we fire her, we’re going to be in trouble.’ But it’s good. This is how life goes. Many things I do in life, I do as an experiment,” he added.

The New York real estate skilled detailed his loyalty tests, saying that his former advisor “was really great to me until she left. And when she left, she got a book deal and made some money. They could all do it. But once they do it, they’re bastards.

Omarosa turned against him in 2018 when she released the book “Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House.” The tell-all presented her accounts of the leader of the free world who’s unfit to lead the country.

She destroyed any likelihood of smoothing things out with Trump by publicly releasing secret recordings of his political discussions and calling him a “fraud” using racist epithets. “He reserved his worst insults and his harshest language for women of color,” she said last 12 months in an interview with “Erin Burnett OutFront.”

She has since returned to reality television, most recently appearing on the debut season of E!’s “House of Villains.”
