Fans are shocked by how “adult” Barack and Michelle Obama’s youngest daughter, Sasha, takes care of her mother, shares a new photo of the 23-year-old

America has watched Obama’s daughters grow up before her eyes, and now it is time to return to terms with the undeniable fact that the youngest former first daughter is now a grown woman. Fans of Barack and Michelle Obama were recently stunned by a new photo of Sasha Obama, who celebrated her twenty third birthday earlier this week.

However, a new photo of little sister Malia has many scratching their heads and wondering, “Where did the time go?”

When Barack Obama took office as the forty fourth president of the United States in January 2009, he took his wife and two young daughters with him to the White House. Malia and Sasha were only 10 and 7 years old respectively.

By the time Obama ended his presidency in 2017, his daughters were already 18 and 15 years old. But to most of the world, Sasha still gave the impression of a little girl when the first black presidential family left the White House.

Now that her mother has shared a photo from her recent birthday celebration on June 10, it’s protected to say that Sasha has grown into a beautiful young lady. Both parents took to Instagram to have fun their daughter’s birthday.

Ex-president sent a nostalgic photo of his youngest daughter as the endearing child that many remember. The caption on his post read: “Happy birthday Sasha! It has been such a joy to watch you make your way in the world… and you are just getting started!”

In contrast, Michelle celebrated with a contemporary photo showing the USC graduate with a polished look, with an expressive face, styled hair and graceful, feminine attire.

The caption of her post had a similar tone: “Happy birthday Sasha! You make me incredibly proud. I hope this 12 months brings you all the pieces you wish and more. I like you.”

The response from Michelle’s 57.2 million followers was mixed.

An Instagram user said: “Wow! The girl grew into a beautiful young woman. Not surprised. The Obamas are a beautiful family.”

“Ohwww. I will always remember the little girl with missing teeth who asked… Dad, where are you? Too sweet! Happy birthday,” one person wrote, while another person commented, “No way that’s our ‘little sister’ Sasha…so grown up and gorgeous! Happy birthday to Sasha and happy birthday to Aunt Michelle.”

Another wrote: “Happy birthday Sasha! She’s grown up. I didn’t understand it was her until I read the comments! Absolutely wonderful!”

Someone else commented: “Sasha is stunning and I wish you a very happy birthday young lady.”

Growing up in the highlight wasn’t all the time easy for Sasha, as the cameras scolded her for doing basic items.

At one point, when Sasha and her sister Malia went to the afterparty of Drake’s “It Was All a Blur” concert in West Hollywood last August, fans were shocked that she was at an adult club where alcohol was served and people they danced to the rhythm of the early morning hours.

Likewise, in December 2023, Sasha found herself in the highlight when paparazzi swarmed her outside Anton’s Cafe in New York’s West Village.

Media reports quickly highlighted how seemingly unprepared she was for New York’s dreary and rainy weather, a stark contrast to her life in sunny Los Angeles. Sasha wore a white crop top that showed off her navel, leaving Obama fans in awe.

America will just need to get used to it. Obama’s baby is not any longer a child and is prepared, as her parents told her, to take over the world as an adult.
