Artists Brandy and Ray J could at one point be mistaken for Siamese twins because they were so close. The siblings publicly talked about how much they loved one another. He participated in her projects and vice versa. However, it seems that the character of their relationship could have modified in recent times.

During an interview for the podcast, Ray J., 43, briefly spoke concerning the state of their relationship. Podcast host Shannon Sharpe asked what was occurring with them because Ray J sounded “emotional” when the 45-year-old singer was mentioned.

The “One Wish” singer took an extended pause before answering:

“Nothing, it’s just that Brandy’s goals were completely different from the start [mine]”

He continued by adding that he is currently doing many things that don’t align along with his sister’s goals and values.

“As long as you know we’re all together, I have to, like, try to stop here,” he said. “And recently even some events that I think they are organizing… I didn’t get an invitation and that doesn’t bother me. But I understand why. It’s just that most of the shit I do now is a little more left field, a little more outrageous and a little louder. A little more dramatic. Sometimes a bit distasteful.”

Ray J may be referring to his recent reality TV activities, including the launch of his Tronix Network television platform. It features several shows featuring controversial artists such as Blueface and Sukihana.

Sharpe then suggested that Ray J. talk to his sister concerning the incontrovertible fact that they are different people and at different stages of life.

“For me, from the side, I am her brother and rightly or wrongly, I will die for every situation in which she needs me,” he concluded.

The two rose to fame thanks to Brandy, a cultural icon in music and television who made a selected impact within the Nineties, giving her younger brother a likelihood to shine. They each recorded records and appeared on the large and small screen, lifting one another’s spirits.

The Grammy winner even dedicated her hit “Best Friend” to him. Sibling relationships often have their ebbs and flows, so we hope they get back to an excellent place personally soon, no matter who does what professionally.
